Plenty of vegan options, food not spectacular - Edit
I was recommended here, so maybe I expected a bit more than I should have. It's a nice place, nice ambiance, with plenty of vegan options. Food wasn't spectacular though. I had the vegan burrito as a lunch meal. It was nice, a bit too heavy for me with both hash browns and sausages and guacamole. I think a bit more veggies and a bit less heavy stuff would have made it nicer. However, also not very expensive.

Maggie Mays is a fantastic spot for breakfast - it’s casual and easy to enjoy going there and the food is dependably very good.
Read moreThe range of vegan options was really good - it’s not just breakfast options (though there are several, and all really good - no afterthought vegan options here!) but also loaded chips, sandwiches and other things.
It can get very busy at the weekends but the turnover rate is good, so while it felt quite busy we were still able to get a table quickly.

While I certainly have enjoyed the other iterations of this local chain of cafes and eateries, I did have quite as much joy here. Right from the off, the level of service didn’t hit the usual high standards I had come to expect and things only deteriorated from here. Though not unpleasant, the biscoff babe milkshake that I had was nowhere near as good as it has been previously and the taco burger was borderline woeful. I will say that the sweet potato fries were ok, but a side dish such as this shouldn’t be the highlight of the meal. I would love to chalk this experience up to a bad day for the restaurant, but I know that I’ll probably look to go elsewhere in the future.
