Was super excited to discover Lutunji's Palate online: truly inspiring concept and mission, beautiful website, exciting menu options, and within walking distance from the Convention Center! If you go, be ready to give grace and extra love to the person behind the counter; she gave me the rudest reception I've ever received at a restaurant in my life. I thought the bakery and restaurant were separate, and it triggered her when I asked if I was in the restaurant. She even started filming me with her phone outside while I sat down to look for new options on HappyCow after she abruptly said they were closed and I was denied service. I'm happy other people have had good experiences, though.

Good food and owner, slow service - Edit
Food and tea were good. Owner is very friendly and likely taking your order at the counter. Since she appears to work alone, service is slow. It was about an hour from entering to having food. Don't be in a hurry.

A relaxed soul food place with ultra friendly staff and tasty food. I had a seitan breakfast sandwich and peach cobbler; both were super yummy.

Can’t give 5 stars because the app only lets you do that for fully vegan/vegetarian restaurants, but Lutunji’s deserves 5 stars. Posted a picture of the vegan seitan breakfast croissant with vegan cheese and as I said there: Best vegan breakfast sandwich in the twin cities, hands down.

The owner is super nice. Nearly all of the baked goods were vegan. I ordered the seitan omelette, which came with a small salad and a croissant.
