Loving loving hut

The only vegan restaurant in Daejeon!
They have 3 different options (noodles soups and bibimbap)
I took it all (in a few different times)and it was amazing !!
The owner is super nice and welcoming, vegan activists and an interesting person.
Highly recommend to come-for the good food and to support his work

Nice vegan restaurant

This is my first time going to a Loving Hut. The place is a little out of the way with difficult parking. There are not a lot of options on the menu, but the owner (super friendly by the way) told me that he’s willing to make different food if you ask, like a pasta dish or other soup dishes.

Pros: Good value, Friendly owner, Good portion size

Cons: Out of the way

Best vegan place in town!

Seems to be the only vegan restaurant left in Daejeon. It was quite far for me to reach but it was well worth the time every time I went. The bimbimbap has a lot of different flavors and is just very tasty, I especially liked the vegan kimchi that goes with it. The owner is a very friendly and chill guy.

Very delicious and lots of home-made ingredients

We liked the food and atmosphere so much that we came back a second time on Sunday. Delicious vegan Korean cuisine and very friendly staff. We'll definitely come back when visiting Daejeon again.

Pros: Fresh, home-made food, Relaxed atmosphere

Real vegan spot, not so tasty food

I believe most Loving Huts' have the agency to serve the dishes they like, as long as they follow the Loving Hut vegan ethos. This franchise has more traditional Korean food, rather than the faux meat dishes of other Loving Huts. I had a mushrooms noodle soup that lacked flavour and was rather bland. My friend (the notorious riri03) had a sesame powdered noodle soup that was (to me) reminiscent of porridge and was decent. The price was cheap, maybe 6/7,000 for a dish. We also got some vegan yogurt, which seemed more like a smoothie with perhaps some soya milk/yogurt added. This was nice.

The space is small but bright and clean. There are lots of vegan books for sale and even some vegan foods and household items. The owner worked there alone and was friendly, albeit a little slow - we were the only ones being served, and it took maybe 30 mins.

I am supportive of Loving Hut as they are the only vegan only restaurant in Daejeon. This is insane it me given the size of the city. So it is hard for me to be critical. They do great work.

Pros: All vegan food !!!, Friendly owner, Nice interior, vegan items for sale

Cons: Not very tasty

Vegan Korean

If you want vegan Korean food go to this loving hut. It is a little hard to find. They usually only have two options on the menu, and it will take a bit to be made. Ive been to a number of loving huts, and this one isn’t really like the main chain. It’s loving hut by name, but a vegan Korean restaurant by design.

Slow and delicious food

We had a little difficulty finding it at first as the location indicated in Happy Cow is misleading (go up Songchong-Buk Ro north a bit from where it is marked on the map, then on the left side).
We were there in the afternoon after a slightly exhausing hike, being alone in the restaurant with the owner. He explained the small menu to us (it has recently been extended by 3 additional items, one of them a great mushroom-noodle soup). Then we could watch him prepare our food from scratch - I never before felt so much that someone is actually cooking for me while being in a restaurant.
We had the Korean-style Bibimbap (with soy meat) and the mushroom-noodle-soup, both of them very good, coming with a few tasty sides. The spice level was significantly lower than what we are used to in other places here. The amount was, as usual here, more than enough even for our hungry hiking bodies.

Pros: Only 100% vegan place in Daejeon, Great Food, Friendly owner

Cons: Small menu (no dessert :-( ), Location, Toilets (squat toilet only)

A WIN! once you find it

After searching for Loving Hut we were so happy to spot it! It's at the very end of the road and off to the side of the Main Street. We went later in the evening and the owner turned the lights on for us and cooked food from scratch. We speak no Korean and he had a small menu with English as well. He has added a few menu items and I got the red bean rice bowl. Delicious. He brought out sides of kimchi and delicious root vegetables. In addition to food I was able to get non-GMO ketchup and dates while I was there. We plan on going back often. I highly recommend finding this Loving Hut. He wants the world to go vegan and anything I can do to support businesses like that, I'll try!

Pros: food, grocery items

Cons: location is hard to find. happy cow address is acc

Very satisfying

This new location has a cute interior that makes it feel very welcoming. I had the bibimbap with soy meat and soup. I haven't really eaten soy meat before but eating this made me feel guilty. The owner is very sweet and asked how my meal was. In addition to selling food, they also have a few coffee drinks plus some vegan packaged good for sale. Overall, great place and will come again!

Note: took the 701 bus from seodaejeon negori and got off at jongridong. Walked about 5-10 minutes.

Pros: Quiet atmosphere , Delicious food with no cruelty , Sells vegan goods too!

Cons: Not centrally located

Loving Hut in Daejeon (Sintanjin)

Outside of Seoul it is very difficult to find vegetarian/ vegan food or selection is limited and Daejeon is no exception concerning this fact. It took me quite a lot of time to get to this far located Loving Hut from Yuseong (Daejeon) so I couldn't go very often during my exchange year in Daejeon. Also the menu was very limited but the food was always tasty and the owner so friendly! He sometimes even gave me some small dessert after the meal.
I hope his business will also go well in future, so please support. :)

Pros: Taste, Friendly owner

Cons: Location, Limited Menu

Great place, great food, great owners!

This place is wonderful! The food is made with care and lvoe and you can really taste that they put some effort and time into what they make. Most Loving Huts are terrible because the cooks just microwave up some fake meat and put no effort into what they're doing, but this Loving Hut in Sintanjin is just the opposite. They use fresh veggies and make their own sauces. This place gets a 10/10.

Pros: excellent food, great value, nice staff

Cons: nothing
