Yummmmm

The Fried chicken is somehow eggplant, this magic chef is truly insane. Couldn't have guessed what it was and absolutely loved it! The baos were on point and the buttery corn was fabulous! The mixed greens and Mushrooms were hearty and flavourful. Food outstanding, vibes amazing, and incredible service from people who clearly love their job! Contemplating going for round two tonight to try the other dishes. Give it a whirl!!!

Pros: Flavours , Seperate vegan menu, Service

Cons: Having to choose!!

lots to love

One of the cutest things about Love House is that it occupies half of the local Surf Lifesaving Club, so the walls are covered in SLC paraphernalia but they've added a touch of modern romance with pink fluoro lights. The combo is kooky but it works! And of course the view over the beach is the best in town.

The separate vegan menu is clearly more than an afterthought. I was in Anglesea by myself for the weekend but wished I had friends to share with so I could try more dishes. The staff recommended 2 small plates per person so I settled on the vegan fried chicken with Korean chilli and the chargrilled eggplant salad.

I literally have no idea what the "chicken" was made from! It had a delicious crispy yet slightly chewy coating and the centre was super soft and almost...slippery? That sounds gross but it wasn't, just unexpected. Some sort of root vegetable or even super soft mochi is my best guess. It was nice, and quite spicy, but if you're after something with a bit of protein and texture, maybe order the tofu.

The eggplant was very tender and had a very smoky flavour that contrasted nicely with the fresh herbs, sprouts, and tangy dressing. In fact, the dressing was so tart, my lips were tingling, so I'd order it with rice next time.

The two dishes were more than I could finish, despite trying my best, but they were happy to give me a container to take home the leftovers. Looking forward to going back and trying more options, which someone to share with next time.

Pros: beach view , separate vegan menu , supports young people experiencing food insecurity

Sort of weird to read a review of an anti-vegan business (selling dead animal bodies is the pinnacle of anti-vegan behavior) on a profile marked activist. Please choose to boycott these businesses and chose the vegan option of patronizing vegan businesses because if we as vegan activists don't even support them and condone this type of industry nobody will. And remember this establishment is not a house of love for the animals who died from the orders of the people who own and visit there.

Separate vegan menu with so much flavour

I was so impressed by the vegan options here! They have a vegan menu and it was so difficult to choose from all of the incredible options, but I ended up having the vegan fried chicken, crispy tofu and eggplant bao. All tasty, and very generous portions!

Pros: Delicious, lots of flavour, Good-sized portions, Beautiful location
