Good enough I guess - Edit
It was alright. Breakfast was easy with rice and beans, plantains, chia seed pudding with coconut milk and soy milk for coffee. The dinners are where it got a bit difficult. They had a d vegan menu which was appreciated, but you were required to pay for a 3 course meal which costs $70 usd. You can’t just choose 1 entree. You HAD to get all 3 courses. The salad was good. We got pumpkin risotto which was not my favorite. And we got Pana cotta which tasted a little too not vegan… so either they did a great job or we got dairy on accident 🤣
Read moreWe went back another night and didn’t say we were vegan. Just asked for the vegetarian items and asked to omit dairy. We got a zucchini salad which was good and pasta with red sauce and veggies which was alright.
The hotel itself was really nice! Very accommodating and helpful staff. We got beetles in the room a few times, but you’re also in a rainforest. What do you expect ultimately.

Lunch/Dinner not very veg friendly - Edit
The lunch/dinner menu offers 1 pasta dish that may have cheese and some pallid salads. Breakfast buffet can suit vegetarian and vegan — but that’s the case for most Costa Rican breakfast places.

Not Super Veg Friendly - Edit
I booked here based on it being listed on happy cow. I would not saw this resort is super vegan friendly. Sure the breakfast buffet can suit a vegan, but I bet every resort in costa rica serves rice and beans, plantains, and fresh fruit. There wasn't any soy or almond milk for my coffee.
Read moreDinner has no vegan options on the menu, and very few even vegetarian options. They were able to make us a vegan dinner one night, but it was rather expensive. I would have rather ate in the town.
I wouldn't stay here if your picking your resort based on the food options for vegans.
Pros: Beautiful Views
Cons: No vegan options at dinner, No soy or almond milk

Great stay, great vegan food - Edit
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Lost Iguana. Enjoyed hiking on the train on the grounds -- we even saw a peccary. The room was very nice, and view was great.
Read moreAlso were *very* pleased with the dining options. We are vegan, and had very good choices for all meals, including the breakfast buffet. We would definitely stay again.
Pros: Hiking, View, Food
