Few but great vegan options - Edit
For lunch I had one of the daily specials, a salad, which was fantastic! Also a pot of Darjeeling loose tea, which again was excellent. Only one cake option which was a fabulous blueberry slice - so good!

It seems to be a very popular place with locals and tourists (I visited mid September). Booking may be advisable at lunch time.
Pros: Very welcoming and friendly, Small menu of excellent food and drink
Cons: Quite costly but it's worth it

I had fond memories of this traditional place from a few years back and popped by on the off-chance it was still here. I wasn’t vegan back then and enjoyed their bacon sandwich so I wasn’t sure what to expect this time round with the bacon being firmly off the menu for me. I figured worst case I could have a black tea.
Read moreWell I was pleasantly surprised. It’s been modernised (in a good way) to a very high standard. Staff were friendly and there was a surprisingly good range of tasty vegan options along with plant based milks. There’s a new outside patio area which will be nice on sunny days.
