Clean and tasty! - Edit
Went entedin when first opened for the day and when we left line was forming out the door. Clean fresh small plates. Well let’s and really good. Had tamale special and a gluten free waffle that I was skeptical to order but delicious. Had bbq mush sandwich, arugula salad, kale Caesar and pizza. All well done and well presented. Smaller portions are great for trying multiple things and all in my group were happy and felt great when we left!

Love This Place - Edit
Read moreHonestly my favorite go to spots in Raleigh. It’s nice to have healthy vegan options vs all of the vegan junk food. I’ve been vegan since 1993 and this place serves up the food that I’m more use to and is easy on the stomach. Junk food is nice sometimes but healthy is always way better. They also have great vegan wines and desserts.
Pros: Lots of raw vegan optoions, Diverse menu, Super tasty and healthy

My Favorite Restaurant EVER - Edit
This is a FIVE STAR!!!! It is plant-based eating at its best!!! If I am anywhere in the vicinity of Raleigh or Charlotte NC...you can bet I am driving to Living Kitchen for my meal!! The food is so clean and innovative! I LOVE the Chocolate Chaga and the Golden Milk...oh, Heaven in a glass! The Mexican Bowl is one of my favorites or BLT (with a side salad or the roasted sweet potatoes...can’t go wrong)! ALWAYS for dessert (no matter how full) gotta have the Turtle Cake...there is no food that is ever so Devine that has passed my lips that tastes better! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
Cool place with options, nice atmosphere. The raw pad Thai is great, didn’t realize it was raw when I ordered it but really glad I did! Almost everything on the menu seemed to be vegan.

If you love fancily plated food and a modern feel, GO! My man and I had the cashew cheese plate with bread and sesame crackers and their popular chipotle quesadillas and later~the tastiest chocolate chip cookies with coconut milk and pumpkin pie. AND a big YAY goes to the Charlie Brown Smoothie! Best smoothie I’ve had in a lonnnng time!! Service was so warm and bubbly, it made Davy and want to come again! The very next day, my boyfriend DID actually come again but to the Charlotte location with his parents. I so want to go again! Whether it’s Charlotte or Raleigh, I WILL BE BACK💓👍🏻

Must stop! Near I-40 - Edit
We visited while traveling cross country. It was an easy stop from the interstate and sooo yummy. I had the curry bowl and husband had BLT - both scrumptious! We split a piece of turtle pie and I could’ve eaten three pieces myself. And, just might next time we travel near Raleigh! Bonus points for compostable takeout packaging.

Wonderful juice, smoothies, food - Edit
I love Living Kitchen! The staff is also super nice and helpful! The juices are so fresh and also bigger than at other juiceries for the price. Gateway to Green is my favorite...and has no cucumber which is rare for a green juice. The smoothies are yum..the ogre is my favorite to get a bit of a coffee fix.The chia breakfast bowl or acai bowl are my go to for breakfast. For dinner, the avacado basil sandwich can't beat. Also they have a points program and you get $10 off after $100 points/$100 spent!!!

Great food, great service - Edit
First visit; Had the BLT and a hummus plate. Both were terrific and service was attentive and personable . Second visit: service sucked. Couldn’t be bothered to take my order, or to settle the bill after. I was interested in dessert but prefer to spend my money where i feel more valued. Too bad.

Good but... - Edit
The food here is pretty tasty - don't get me wrong. Their raw lasagna is awesome and the cookies with coconut milk are tasty. But it is expensive and because it is raw, we still didn't feel very full afterwards and ultimately got hungry within two hours of leaving. For the cost of an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert here, we could've had much larger and filling portions plus leftovers at any number of places in the area.

Living Bagel Is To Die For - Edit
I added to fresh jalapeño to give it a bit of a kick and it was great. All ingredients are fresh and the pleasant staff made the experience even better. As I was leaving, a gentleman walked in and was greeted by the nice lady behind the counter to thank her for being supportive. After 9 years of being homeless he was celebrating having his own home and stopped in on his way to work to share the good news. If you want to enjoy excellent food and be with people who care about their community then I highly recommend this place. Living Kitchen is living well. Helluva way to start my day!

"Healthy and Tasty" - Edit
While in town from Ohio I was looking for a fresh healthy meal to share with my meat eating boyfriend, pleased to say I found it! I had the taco salad, he had the blt. The food was presented beautifully in good portion sizes, and the wait staff were very nice and even sent me home with an extra container of the awesome dressing that went with my salad because I loved it so much! The restaurant is in an amazing location too.. very convenient if you're staying anywhere near downtown. Over all, lovely experience.

Awesome Place - Edit
This is now our favorite restaurant in the area. It’s completely vegan and almost all raw food. They are also almost completely gluten free. The food is out of this world good and the service is perfect. It can get a little pricey, but for organic natural food and awesome service it is so worth it!

Raw Food Done Right in Raleigh - Edit
Living Kitchen is an almost completely raw establishment with one of their locations at the end of the one of the most bustling downtown areas in Raleigh. This review is about the Raleigh location. When you first approach Living Kitchen, you'll see that windows surround the restaurant which makes the lighting brilliant and warm inside. Upon entering, you're usually greeted by staff behind the bar and you will notice the modern and inviting interior right away.
Read moreWhen you look at the menu, you'll notice the "Bar" section which contains smoothies, juices, coffees/teas and other drinks. Some of their smoothies are like milkshakes (yum!). Bonus: they make all of their own nut milks.
For lunch and dinner, their appetizers are on the light side albeit on the high side of cost. I have ordered the sweet potato sushi twice and while it's very delicious the "lightly spiced Thai chili sauce" is a bit too spicy for me (I usually get a 3/5 at Thai restaurants). Currently, their main dishes are mostly raw excluding the BBQ slides and sandwiches. Some of the raw entrees aren't appealing to my eyes because it doesn't seem high in calories although most contain a good amount of calories from fats.
I have only ever ordered the salads and sandwiches (the latter comes with a side) and are filling. You can get the sandwiches in a collard leaf if you can't do the bread. And the salads....my favorite that I can't stop getting is the Arugula Harvest. Mmm that dish is everything I want a salad to be.
The desserts are delicious. Most are nut and coconut based so they can be a bit heavy. I've had the turtle cake, cheesecake, and tiramisu - would get them all again.
Overall, it might not be the very first place in Raleigh I would bring someone to try vegan food unless they are interested in eating healthy and are open-minded to new foods. I look forward to visiting again!
Pros: healthy , good quality, friendly service
Cons: hard to find parking

Gem in the city - Edit
When I found this place, I was estatic. The food is almost entirely raw and absolutely delicious. I've tried multiple things on the menu and I haven't found anything I don't like. The veggie burger is always a go to. It's a nice place to have a bite to eat while watching all the people walk downtown. My only complaints are with the dessert portions (Cheesecake was small but delicious!!) and speed of service. However, everyone there is super friendly!

Raw vegan (everything) - Edit
We're visiting Raleigh and will be at the Convention Center in dowtown all weekend. We ate lunch here 2 days straight. For 3 people, it's about $80 after tip. Most everything is veganized with some type of cashew creation, which was wonderful for us, but can see that presenting a problem to those with nut allergies. Had sweet potato sushi to start, which was so darn good, but was on the tiny side. The lunch meals were great, though. Good portions, super tasty, and very creative. They don't skimp on taste or ingredients. The kitchen really knows what they're doing. The plating was also beautiful. We were blown away on day 1, but day 2, a bit less. We're vegan, not raw vegan, and having a raw burger or "manicotti" with a cucumber wrap wasn't our thing. But for raw vegans, I bet they'd be in heaven. Even so, kudos!

Beautiful food - Edit
This place has really good lunch/dinner items! I've tried their oyster mushroom sliders and tomato tart and both are perfect! the turtle cake is ok but not my favorite, the crust was good but I didn't really like the middle. Also the ginger-ale is ammaazziinngg . The only problem is that thy have a lot of food that is heavily tree-nut based, and I have some relatives who are allergic. :(

Very modern establishment with a wide array of food, juices and smoothies. Friendly wait staff. Mostly raw food aside from some soups or toasted breads. Had the Mock Tuna Salad sandwich and the manicotti along with some smoothies. everything was beautifully arranged on the plates and tasted delicious.
