Sweet bao saved the day - Edit
Good bao buns, but too expensive for what you get. We started with dumplings which arrived in less than 2 minutes and were cold. Buns were tasty but for 8,50€ not worth their price. The dessert fried bao saved the day and make the trip worth it. I’d say it’s good for a snack or lunch, but not a full dinner.

Nice baos - Edit
Baos were tasty, but very small. They come in a very small plate, which is a bit unhandy to eat.

Side dishes, bars and mains are all worth a try. We literally tasted most of the menu because the portions are so small.

Tasty but expensive - Edit
Very tasty but one Bao bun isn't worth €8.50. Too expensive to justify that much money for a chicken nugget in a small bun 🥟 Would need three to make a decent sized meal.

Big Love for Lil Bao - Edit
We loved Lil Bao! I think we got food from Lil Bao three or four times while we were in Brussels. We both really loved the Hercules bao. It was kind of like a gyro but in a bao. We got the Hercules twice and also tried the Aubergenius which was good. The Big Dimes (dumplings) were good but came with a lot of hoisin sauce on them which was a bit much. The Lil Fries were very tasty and came with a choice of sauce. We got ketchup. We also had the Miso Love which was really delicious and perfect for a cold rainy day! We had the Buddy Buddy dessert bao and banana cake, which were nice too. Super nice staff. The restaurant is cute and was playing great funky music when I went to get take away. We definitely recommend Lil Bao and if we are ever in Brussels again, it will be our first stop for food.

Wow 🤩 - Edit
Tacos bao with great originality! It’s not an authentic Asian restaurant, they use the bao and create original fusion recipe.

Oh wow!!! - Edit
What a lovely little place. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. And the bao buns....wow, amazing! They also have some side dishes which we didn't try. But I bet they're also very nice. I'd come back to Brussels only for these baos!

Vegan Taiwanese Streetfood - Edit
Bao is one of the most popular streetfoods in Taiwan! Traditionally it’s a steamed bun filled with mean and eaten for any meal of the day.
Read moreThis store makes them all vegan and just as delicious!
I’ve tried Aubergenius and Jacko Wacko - as well as their lil dims.
Aubergenius is a bao filled with braised eggplant, fresh cucumber, fried onion and crushed peanuts! It’s umami and soft, simply divine.
Jacko Wacko is filled with pulled jackfruit (super meaty!), smacked cucumber, fried onions and crushed peanuts. This one was my favorite, the chili oil inside added an amazing spice.
Their lil dims are mini steamed dumplings with a veggie filling and hoisin sauce. Nothing special tbh, tasty nevertheless.
The staff is friendly and they also offer some good drinks, for example kombucha with chili and pineapple!
Pros: All vegan , Tasty food

Exceeded expectations! - Edit
I was a bao-newby, but I was pleasantly surprised, this was SO good! We had the aubergenius (gotta love the name) and it was very delicious. And so were the dimsum and dumplings. YUM. If I ever return to Brussels I'll be sure to go again :)

We had the aubergenius, hot chick (without thr spicyness), miso soup and lil dims. It was probably the tastiest meal I've had in Brussels until now. The lil dims hold extremely high class, I would almost say they they border fine-dining quality. The miso soup was delicious. Both the baos were also so tasty, especially the aubergenius.
Read moreThis place is very cute. It's not too big and is very nicely painted. The staff is very friendly, and the food arrives quickly. The only minus is that you cannot get free tap water, and the water they sell costs 3 euros for 0,25 liter(!!). Anyway, the total is incredible. Probably one of the best places to eat in Brussels.
Cons: No free water

Nice visit - Edit
Went here for lunch and had 4 bao's. The aubergenius was delicious! However the rest (Jacko Wacko, Hot Chick and Deep Sea Baby) were only okay. Unfortunately we did not understand that the spicyness in the Hot Chick was in the added dressing, hence why whe chose a mild dressing to go with the spicy bao.

Ready order system through a QR code will make your life easy! Very nice bao options. We got the Greek, miso soup, dumplings and all were superb. For dessert the banana cake was mild and soft with shaving ice cream, and the Coco loco mochi was delicious. It's a small place though! Service was good too. Would go back.

I had heard nothing but great reviews about this new vegan bao bun restaurant in Brussels. It's safe to say that I wasn't disappointed! The staff were warm and friendly and there was a good selection of bao bun fillings. We had three bao buns and a plate of dumplings to share. I was a particular fan of the Jacko Wacko bao as was my other half. I will definitely come back here for lunch when I'm in the city centre.

I had the aubergine and hot chick baos, both were really great. For sides, we shared the gyoza, calamari, and spring rolls. For dessert, we shared the peanut butter bao and ‘Da Baomb’. The ice cream was so good. Everything was super fresh and tasty! Excellent service too, and nice atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back! #Veganuary
