Awesome co-op with tons of vegan goodies

Such a great co-op! You can shop there even if you're not a member, though if you live nearby it's definitely worth becoming a member. $80/one time fee and you can get discounts on certain items and other perks. Plus you're supporting a local business!

The amount of vegan goodies here is insane! So many vegan fresh baked goods in their fresh bakery section, like cookies, cupcakes, apple crumble to die for, peanut butter cups, and more. Also a ton of vegan options in their prepared foods section. Tempeh sandwiches, wraps, marinated ginger tofu, kimchi poppers, buffalo tofu poppers with vegan Bleu cheese...I could go on.

Then in the regular grocery section there are lots of vegan products and they often have great sales.

The bulk section is also quite extensive. Unfortunately it's closed currently cuz of covid but you can still get bulk prices and goods that come in pre packaged containers.

Everyone there is super nice, I love shopping here (and I hate grocery shopping).

Pros: Vegan baked/prepared goods, Great sales, Local, ethical, vegan products

Local produce and vegan goodies

I'm a member-owner at the coop. It's certainly not the cheapest grocer in town, but I love their focus on organic, local products and their bulk section. They have a large selection of vegan products such as cheeses, seitan, tempeh, and firm Soy Boy tofu from Rochester (along with all a large selection of mock meat).

I have yet to order from their hot food bar, but their cold sandwiches are great, especially the Vegan Reuben.

hot bar food though...

The hot bar food is my fav. There's always vegan options and comfort food, soups, desserts, anything really. My favorite store in Buffalo. Lots of fresh produce and vegan staples, brands, drinks, cheese, EVERYTHING! Also go during thanksgiving for large portions of stuffing, sweet potato casserole and pies!

I'm a Member-Owner

I have to say, Lexington Coop is absolutely fantastic. The prices are reasonable, the benefits of becoming a member-owner are great, the store is clean, the employees are so friendly. If you need something they don't have they do special ordering, they have a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as local and organic produce. It's the only place we shop at!

Pros: Wonderful Selection, Clean, friendly atmosphere, Involved in the local community

Cons: Can't think of a single one.

I've shopped at Lexington Co-op

The Co-op is recently updated and looking good. They often have the best sale prices on veg'n food in the area and they have great local and organic produce. The co-op also has a hot foods/salad bar that typically features at least two vegan dishes and several more vegetarian dishes. Their prepared foods tend to be a little bland and sometimes the presentation isn't so great though. Also it looks like they recently added some outdoor seating, so that's a nice plus for the summer weather if people are buying foods off the hot bar.

Pros: Hot food bar, Bathrooms

Cons: Hard to turn left out of, the parking lot

b-lo

This place has a great vibe and is reasonably priced - though I haven't been in 14-15 years. (crikey! i'm old and i'm just turning 22 next month). My friends in b-lo always have positive things to say about this place.
