Magnifique en Bordeaux - Edit
In a city with five amazing vegan restaurants I was spoiled for choice. But in Les Preuves Du Contraire my taste buds came alive with their amazing house vegan burger. What made it stand out was the delightful tang of their cornichons sauce together with the salty goodness of their tasty vegan cheese. Really good. A must when visiting Bordeaux.

The atmorsphere is very welcoming and pleasent. I had a vegan Croque Monsieur. I am always curious to eat veganized typical local food - so it made me happy:) If you like vegan cheese you should definitly try it. The fries are homemade and crunchy.

Very cool bar with lovely owners. I arrived a wee bit too early for food but they were so accommodating and I didn't have to wait long to eat the amazing (enormous!) burger.

Il y avait aussi une exposition artistique sur les murs !

Nous avons réservé pour la soirée burger vegans, nous étions 6 et tout le monde a vraiment adoré son repas (même les non végétariennes ou vegans qui ont apprécié découvrir ces alternatives) ! Les gérantes sont géniales, bonnes conseillères de vins et cuisinières. Allez y les yeux fermés !

This place is an absolute delight. The food is lovely and there is a good selection of beer, cider, wine, spirits and cocktails. The people are very friendly and were prepared to put up with my bad French and also spoke very good English. I can recommend the Bloody Mary cocktail, so good I had to have two.

First of all the service was great and the staff was super friendly. The food was also delicious and it was nice to get a french traditional dish like „croque“ completely vegan. It was a good lunch and a medium sized portion. Gets you through the day but leaves room for another meal later.

This is a really nice little vegan pub. The two ladies who own this place are really charming. I also loved the atmosphere. Even though it is mostly a bar, they serve street food, which is really delicious and reasonably priced.

Read moreThey do a vegan plate either small or large (€14 and €17, respectively) we got two small plates between the two of us and that was plenty for dinner. Each plate is homemade fries, homemade mayo, veg, hummus and then three "meat"balls, a vegan cheeze toastie, or a fake chicken wrap. We had the meatballs and the croc ni Monsieur, both were absolutely fantastic. Staff were very very friendly and described the food options and drinks available. Would defo recommend if you're in Bordeaux!
We went on a Sunday and despite Google and happycow saying it would close at 8pm, it was still v lively when we left at 8:15 ish
*All other vegan options we've found in Bordeaux seem to be vegan burgers so despite the fairly limited options the options they did have were a very welcome change from elsewhere

This new vegan and LGBTQI+ friendly Bordeaux pub is a haven of peace in the Saint-Michel district. The two ladies who run the place are adorable and make great cocktails. There are a few tapas to eat (vegetables, hummus, dumplings and grilled cheese) but they're more to accompany the drinks than to make a full meal. Vegan cheese platters would be such a good idea! In any case, the place has a great atmosphere and good vibes.

Firstly, the managers are absolutely delightful (and graciously entertained my poor french!). The food is al homemade and so flavourful - the meatballs (on sticks) are particularly delicious. The cocktails are also lovely. Be sure to try an “Appie whiskey”. All vegan, all delicious. Also reasonably priced for the area. We liked it so much, we went back a second time for drinks!

I'm super happy to have had the chance to eat at Les Preuves Du Contraire. It is a Bar/Bistro which means they have a lot of different drinks but also food. I took the plate of different fingerfood and a wrap on the side - and it was super delicious and 100% vegan. The atmosphere in the bar was pretty convivial, so perfect for someone like me who comes alone from another city. I whish the two owners good luck with their cool business! Cheers!

Lovely bar with a small food selection and vegan cocktails. Super friendly and enthusiastic staff, vegans themselves trying to improve the gastronomic landscape of the mainly omnivore Bordeaux. The food was very delicious, home-made meatballs and sandwiches. I hope they get enough customers to expand their menu!

I had a lovely glass of sweet white wine and a "platter to share". The platter has a small portion of hummus and mayo, some crudités, fries and a cheesy sandwich. Staff was patient and friendly, thank you 💕!
