This vegan cafe did not disappoint. The ambience was inviting and peaceful, the service was exceptional, and the food was some of the best vegan food we’ve had when dining out. I recommend getting the plat de la semaine.

I loved this place! The people were friendly and the food was delicious. I had a (jackfruit) burger which was really well made and they created a special taste which made the dish uniquely yummy. The brownie was also super tasty!

After a long search for a vegan restaurant in Bordeaux that wasn’t either closed down or shut on a Sunday, we finally came across Monkey Mood and booked their Sunday brunch. Since brunch is the only menu available on Sundays, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised — I enjoyed each part of the meal.
Read moreThe only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the jackfruit burger; it’s basically shredded jackfruit with seasoning and vegetables, which makes the texture quite mushy (not really my taste). Aside from that, the food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly.
The place was very busy when we arrived, so I definitely recommend booking ahead. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. For anyone with nut allergies, it advises that they are unable to cater due to cross contamination in their small kitchen.

C'était très bon, mais le service n'est pas très rapide (avant qu'on prenne notre commande nous avons attendu bien 15minutes). L'attente pour le burger a été annoncée donc pas de soucis pour cette attente là. Je ne suis pas fan de la mangue donc forcément je suis un peu mitigé car le seul lassi et la crème brûlée qui sont proposés sont à la mangue, dommage car la crème brûlée en elle-même était excellente !

We accidentally made a reservation for the other Monkey Mood location (2h away), but luckily we were able to get a table. The satay was delicious and we also had a nice Nasi Goreng, which tasted quite similar like my grandma makes them!
