Great vegan refuge with tasty food

It was so great to find Louca within walking distance of our hotel on our recent honeymoon. I've only been vegan about 2 months, so I'm not used to asking for vegan adjustments to non-vegan menus, so it was great to find a place where everything was totally vegan without any adjustments.
We liked the food very much, especially the lasagna and chocolate chip muffins. The decor was interesting and inviting, and was inviting over all. We really enjoyed it, and it made our honeymoon that much more special!

Pros: Very tasty food, Friendly proprietor, Several options for both sweet and savory

Convenient

If you’re vegan, hungry, and in the neighbourhood, I do suggest you stop by for this place‘s convenient location. I got a sandwich to go. The food is okay, but not excellent, and the menu is basic, but at least it is all vegan.

This place is perfect

This place is lovely. It's a zero waste store but has more of a cozy cafe vibe. We tried 5 items and they were all excellent. Great place to grab breakfast or brunch with 1-2 other people.

Pros: Friendly, Delicious, Zero waste store. Love supporting that!

Cons: Not tons of seating. Not good for large groups.

Nice and chill environment

The daily soup warms your body up, I had a butter squash soup after a long walk outside. The brown rice pasta was alright, I didn't see any brown rice though. The plate wasn't too big, but everything on the meun wasn't expensive.

Pros: Zero waste. Chill and environment

Cons: The taste wasn't amazing.

Worthy to Walk

Charming,a 20 min Walk from the Old City. The Quiche was delicious and better then the zucchini pie, which I thought to have a little unpleasant taste. I loved the fact that it’s family owned and operated, the concept of the decor, silverware, etc..are not wasted and donated to be used. We tried the pear almond tart dessert, I think it still needs some work as it crumbles in your mouth and separates awkwardly, I would have loved to try a few other things but we got full quickly. Last, the vegan cheese and tomato sandwich was awesome, I would most definitely suggest if you live in the area or come to Quebec often to try out the menu, I have a feeling some of the other dishes would be fantastic.

Pros: Family Owned and Operated , Charming and Environmentally Focused , Great Service

Cons: Some dishes/desserts are so so. , 20 Min Walk from the old city

Nope

Went to this place due to the incredible reviews and no. Just no. The staff is friendly and the place is cute and quiet but their food is terribly bland. Their food represents what carnivores think vegan food tastes like— bland, tasteless, non exciting, like cardboard. Don’t recommend.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Organic , Kind staff

Cons: No , Nope , Not good

Complètement charmée par l'endroit. La nourriture y est excellente, le service est super, l'ambiance est chaleureuse et on c'est aussi une bonne adresse pour une épicerie zéro déchet. Une superbe expérience 😊

Delightful breakfast spot

Visiting from out of town, I stopped in and had the quiche. It was delicious! Cute spot, quiet cafe. It’s always harder to find breakfast options so I was impressed.

Pros: Tasty quiche

Best vegan restaurant in Québec City!

Look no further if you want delicious vegan food in Québec City! This restaurant is on a great street a short walk from Old Québec. Food is excellent and the owners are friendly and very happy to customize your order to suit your dietary needs. Everything is organic and homemade since this is a family business. As a bonus it is a zero-waste restaurant too! We come here every time we are in Québec City. Enjoy!

Excellent 100% vegan business

We are at Louca on our first night in Quebec. We tried the sampler plate and it was delicious- especially the cashew cheese. We also purchased quiche to take back for our breakfast the following day. Also really good. Note that they only take cash there.

Pros: All vegan options , Zero waste, Healthy and gluten free

Cons: Cash only , Closed on Mondays

Loved this place

Great place for families. Good food with a great book library to browse through. I could have lingered all afternoon if sightseeing hadn't been on the agenda!

No breakfast :(

We were really hoping to find something for breakfast that wasn’t just sweets and coffee. I had a pear almandine and a matcha smoothie and they were fantastic! The service wasn’t great but it’s a cool space and I’d go back often if I lived there.

Pros: Vegan sweets, Cool space, Great concept

Cons: No breakfast items, Mediocre service

Oasis

Quebec restaurants are very meat-centric, so this place was a godsend. My chickpea frittata and fresh salad and my companion's grilled cheese were excellent!

Pros: Vegan choices!!!, Excellent food

Cons: No ac on a hot day, Might be out of the way for old city guests

Excellent food . Only CASH.

Excellent food. Everything is vegan! Have a range of desserts and main dishes. Not a lot of seats though (10?) Take note that as of May 2019 they only accept cash (canadian or quebec city local money (blé)).
