Die veganen Optionen sind sehr lecker und die Einrichtung ist gemütlich. Aber der Service gibt sich jedes Mal ausgesprochen unfreundlich. Wir waren mehrfach dort und hatten jedes Mal das Gefühl, nicht willkommen zu sein. “Wir sind besetzt, warten Sie draußen”, kein “hallo” oder Tagesgruß, das ist ein typischer Empfang. Dabei gibt es kaum Fluktuation, viele Mitglieder im Service sind schon länger dabei. Wer Wert auf einen angenehmen oder auch nur normal freundlichen Umgang legt, der ist anderswo besser aufgehoben.

Dieses Café probieren wir seit Jahren immer wieder aus. Es gibt gute vegane Optionen zu essen. Aber der Service ist jedes Mal unglaublich unfreundlich und unprofessionell, am Telefon genauso wie vor Ort. Die Investoren sollten mehr Geld in die Auswahl und Schulung ihres Serviceteams investieren. Geht stattdessen 5 Minuten weiter ins Café Juli in der Sandkaulstraße—inhabergeführt, fantastisches Essen und immer herzlich. Ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht.

Wir kommen regelmäßig her, um bei Leni ein richtig tolles veganes Frühstück mit wahlweise glutenfreiem Brot zu essen. Es gibt auf der Platte verschiedene super leckere Aufstriche sowie Grillgemüse und andere Schmankerl. Auch die Getränke können vegan zubereitet werden.

We went there on the weekend and had the vegetarian breakfast table for two (reservation is a must on the weekend). They have many vegetarian and also some vegan options on the menu. Nearly every dish can be made vegetarian/vegan as well. Just ask the friendly staff! The vegetarian breakfast table for two was one of the best breakfasts we had in Aachen (and we tried nearly every place during the last eight years).

Wir haben nun schon einige Male dort das vegane Frühstück für zwei Personen gegessen. Es schmeckt lecker, ist nett angerichtet und beinhaltet vielfältige Produkte. Für unseren Hunger reichte es bisher nie, aber du kannst ohne Probleme etwas nachbestellen. Bisher haben wir immer Brot und Hummus nachgenommen. Vegan ist hier keine Priorität - Edit
Wir haben hier einen V 60 Pour over Kaffee (400ml) und einen Kakao, sowie ein Stück bananenbrot gegessen. Der Kaffee war ok, aber mehr auch nicht. Der Kakao wird hier mit Schokodrops und heißer Milch zubereitet. Auf Nachfrage nach der Möglichkeit zum veganen Kakao wurde angegeben, dass dieser auch mit Hafermilch zubereitet werden könne. Es wurde dann aber nachgefragt ob ich weiße, vollmilch oder zartbitter Schokolade haben wollen würde. Die beiden ersten Möglichkeiten sind jedoch nicht vegan.

Als vegane Option wurde hier Bananenbrot angeboten. Dieses war mit Blaubeeren und Walnüssen gebacken und sehr lecker.
Als Beilage zu Kaffee und Kakao wurde dann ein Würfel des Brownie gelegt, welchen wir haben liegen lassen müssen. Unnötig diesen dazu zu legen, wenn explizit vegane Speisen bestellt wurden.

Looking for a place to have breakfast until 5 pm? Try Leni liebt Kaffee. We spent two hours there and ordered the big breakfast plate for two persons. We got a whole bunch of different types of bread, three savoury spreads (perfect tomato salsa, pepper bell hummus and lentil-chili-papaya spread), grilled vegetables, an avocado, granola with soy yoghurt, salad, cucu,tomatoes, walnuts, strawberry jam and fruits. You can always ask for some more food. It is like a brunch at the table. The drinks are also good, but very(!) small for the asked price. The coffee is not the best, but absolutely okay.

Das Café an sich ist sehr schön innen und außen. Preise sind auch i.O. Nicht teuer aber auch nicht günstig. Die Auswahl an Kuchen ist sehr übersichtlich. Für den Kaffee und Kakao gibt es Hafermilch. Der Pour Over hat mich geschmacklich nicht wirklich umgehauen. Dafür ist die Menge ganz gut. (Ca. 400ml). Alles in allen werde ich erstmal andere Cafés in der Region probieren bevor ich wiederkomme.

This Café has two locations in Aachen and both have great vegan food. The hummus sandwich with roasted vegetables is really goos, and the bowl of the week is usually available in vegan as well. Also they deliver, which is really great.

Die Heißgetränke aber waren super lecker und alle Optionen gab's auch in der Vegan-Variante.
Leider hatten wir nur kein Glück was die Logistik anging... es war beide Male sehr überlaufen (was für die Qualität spricht), aber daher gab's beim ersten Mal nur einen Platz bei mäßig gutem Wetter draußen und beim zweiten Mal hätten wir Schlange stehen müssen, da haben wir doch auf dem Absatz kehrt gemacht.
Wer tatsächlich nicht nur auf gut Glück auf einen schnellen Kaffee reinhüpfen möchte, sollte vorher einen Tisch reservieren.

Leni liebt kaffee is in my opinion the best place to go if you want to have a proper vegan breakfast in Aachen and I've tried a few places. They have a huge variety of vegan food, the staff ist very friendly and they know what vegan means. The only thing I'm not quite sure about is if they offer vegan cakes, but the staff can probably tell you. And even if they don't you will surely find something that you like!
