Vegan Waffles! - Edit
This new café has vegan waffles on the menu and can do their hot coffee drinks with oat milk. The were happy to fulfil my special order for vegan waffles with bananas and chocolate sauce (recommended!) The 50s diner vibe in decor and furniture complete with surfer music is great. There are also four outdoor seats facing the hip, alternative urban open Place for Democracy.

This new café at Büchel has completely won me over. It’s set up like a cozy little diner. You can feel that everything from the furniture to the decor was lovingly designed by the owners themselves.

From a vegan point of view, it’s a really nice surprise:
They offer several plant-based milks for coffee and drinks
The absolute highlight: fresh vegan waffles – not pre-made, but actually prepared fresh to order!!
There are also clearly labeled vegan sweets, so you don’t have to guess or ask three times what’s in anything
Another lovely detail: they have a super sweet, very cuddly young dog on site, who is just as friendly as the team and adds even more to the cozy, homely atmosphere.
What makes this place truly special though is the concept behind it: it’s deliberately inclusive and especially geared towards kids and teenagers. This is a place where young people are not just “tolerated”, but seen, understood, and invited to simply have a good time and be themselves.
All in all: a heartfelt recommendation – both for vegans and for anyone who cares about warm atmosphere, good vibes, and a café that actually lives its values.
