Average

Average food but clearly marked as vegan. Good service in a stunning location beside the church. Pictured is the curry bowl. Quite expensive for the quality of the food.

The chia with mango coulis is a must

Precise vegan indication on the menu

Very nice home.
Starter dish vegan desserts clearly indicated on their menu, it is so rare to put veggie in all sauces.
They know difference between Vegan and Vegetarian.
very generous bowl and delicious dessert
Many choices of vegetable options in this brand

Pros: Choices, Welcome

One of the good ones

Vegan friendly place, one that didn’t turn us down when hearing that we want vegan food. We had the curry bowls & grilled veggies. Good portion sizes, overall it was one of the pleasant experiences in Biarritz.

Pros: Vegan options clearly highlighted on the menu, Several vegan options including desert

Not many options but curry was fantastic

Didn't expect the curry to be so good, decent portion as well. Would be nice to have a few more choices!

Vegan options available

2 vegan friendly options on the menu : 1 buddha bowl and 1 vegetables curry with rice (delicious).
5 stars if they had more vegan options.. but this is not a vegan restaurant at first so that’s fine.

Do not order the veggy burger

We ate at Le Tandem yesterday and even though the view is nice, it was a very mixed experince. The vegetarian entree and cake desserts were delicious - but the veggi burger as a main course was the worst I've ever eaten. It was basically raw falafel dough between two slices of bread and that was it (yet the meaty ones looked fancy..). Both of us did not finish it. I would recommend not ordering the veggie burger (as vegetarian or vegan option) until they change the paddy.

Pros: Nice view, Some very nice dishes

Cons: Disgusting veggie burger

Not many vegan options

Tried the veggie burger (without sauce) and the curry bowl. Both were tasty but not mindblowing at all. For this price, it would be nice to have a vegan sauce in the burger to make it tastier and less dry. Nice location and nice staff though

okey bc of the nice location

I had the vegetarian burger but without the cheese (veganized). The pattie was nice, but there was no sauce in it and there was nothing else in it that would make the burger a bit juicy, which is why it was quite dry. So I could choose between Ketchup, Mayo (not vegan) and Mustard. The fries were very crispy and very tasty. My friend had the Curry Bowl and there were a bit few vegetables in it. Price was okey bc of the central location. Overall I would say it was a good decision to eat there.

Pros: nice location outside, friendly staff, very nice crispy fries

Cons: not many vegan options

Good but too few vegan options

Unfortunately too few vegan options but it is still France so I was glad there where some options. I had the Indian curry bowl which tasted really good but it was a small portion. The French fries also tasted well. Luckily they had a tasty vegan dessert, a pudding with grains, chia and fruit. It is a populair place, once it opens it gets crowded. The location is superb.

Pros: Tasty food, English speaking, nice atmosphere, Superb location

Cons: Too few vegan options, small portion

Not many options but good food

Very nice restaurant with great atmosphere. Friendly and hard working staff. Communication in English was easily managable. Offer 2 vegan meals (bowls) and a vegetarian burger that can be veganized. Vegan dessert available.
The curry was very tasty. The chia-coconut pudding was also very nice.
Would definitely recommend you to go there if you also have a hard time finding vegan food in Biarritz.

Pros: nice atmosphere, friendly staff, english communication and menu, tasty food

Cons: rather expensive , only few vegan options

Pros: Localisation

Cons: Cher, Peu d'options

Very poor quality

The bread was super old, crispy vegetables were overcooked and not crispy and the service was poor. Didn't stay for a main course cause this was just too disappointing.

Pros: None

Cons: Overpriced, Low quality

Good

A few options for vegan/vegetarians. We had falafel and home fries as entries, and curry bowl and Buddha bowl and cheesecake (with salted caramel, sooooo good) . All was very good, the staff was friendly, the place is okay. A bit pricey but correct because of where it is situated.

Pros: Good food , Food for all stomach , Salty caramel cheesecake

Nice place but poor vegan food

The vegan options sounded great but their execution wasn't worth the price they asked for. I had the Buddha bowl and was disappointed. It wasn't very tasty and the portion a little too small. The meals have not the quality level of a restaurant, they have more a "snack bar"-quality.
The tandem is not a vegetarian restaurant, it also serves meat. And the cook doesn't seem to put much heart into the vegan meals.
It was a cold evening in January and we could not sit outside. The experience is probably more pleasant when it is possible to sit on the terrace looking onto the lively, pedestrian only, place sainte Eugénie.
I don't think I will return to this place to try their other vegan options.

Curry bowl was great

Had a curry bowl which was nice. Being Vegan around a place like Biarritz there aren’t many places to eat out for dinner so this was a nice that they did something. Was greeted by one of the waitresses who said she was also Vegan and was trying to fight for more vegan options (also the reason they have vegan options in the first place!). One thing that confused us was the fact that they had a vegan burger but was labelled as vegetarian. Sparingly the bread isn’t vegan. Seems a shame as we both fancied a burger.

Pros: More than one choice, A desert (we didn’t have), Happy cow stickers everywhere!

Vegan food with a view

I had the buddha bowl and frites maison, and was also served a bread basket and dressing! It was super tasty and generous portion sizes! There were other options I'd love to try (garlic bread, rice pudding). The decor was fab, the staff were friendly and the view was gorgeous. Worthwhile choice for vegans and veggies alike.

Pros: Multiple vegan options (including a dessert), Informed staff

Great sounding vegan dishes...average execution

We were really happy to find this place on Happy Cow. Clearly labelled vegan dishes and the waiter was knowledgeable about what was in everything. We ordered the garlic bread and hummus to start and shared the curry bowl and veggie burger for mains. The garlic bread didn’t have enough of the garlic and oil on it and the hummus was average. The burger patty was really soft and again pretty average. The curry bowl could have been really nice but instead of being fragrant like it should have been it was just very sweet and sickly. Really happy to have the options but just needs a bit more thought.

Pros: Friendly staff, Beautiful decor, Knowledgeable staff

Cons: Average food

Fantastic restaurant and staff

Wonderful to find vegan options in France. Lots of vegan and veggie options including garlic bread and hummus, Budda bowls, sad and rice pudding! Does serve meat and fish also. Good for groups and families. Fully recommend.

Pros: Options in a restricted area of France, Lovely staff - Pushing for more options, Great food

poco para elegir y simple

Vegano o vegetariano solo había dos cosas, una sopa y un plato con unas pocas verduras crudas en salsa muy simple. No creo que vuelva a ese sitio

Tasty Buddha Bowl

Went to La Tandem for lunch recently and was pleasantly surprised as Biarritz is not great at catering for vegans.

They had a couple of vegi dishes of which one was 100% vegan called the Buddha bowl.

It consisted of various grains along with avocado and salad ingredients with a tasty dressing.

It was fairly pricey but with such a prime location near the sea it was to be expected.

Pros: Location, Friendly service, Good atmosphere

Cons: Pricey, Only 1 vegan option

They don't really know what vegan is jet.

They're trying but they gave us a 'vegan' desert made of cream cheese. When we told them this wasn't vegan the waiter said, yeah but we call this vegan. The buddha bowl was good.

Cons: You really have to ask what the ingredients are. T

Food is okay, three vegetarian options and one vegan

The food here was okay, there were 3 vegetarian options and 1 vegan option on the menu. I had the vegan option which was a Buddha Bowl. It was okay, had quinoa, roast sweet potato and avocado, it was not worth the €13.50 that I was charged and had very strange spices and dressing but I did appreciate being able to order something that was clearly market vegan. The drinks menu however did not say which wines or beers were vegan.

Pros: 3 vegetarian options that aren't salad

Cons: Only one vegan option, Expensive
