A French rural establishment that includes vegan choices.

Open on a Monday which is a bonus here in rural France. Very friendly and helpful. Has vegan choices on the menu and plat du jour. Again a bonus here in rural France.

Pros: Vegan choices., Lovely people., Open on Monday.

Cons: It is not a vegan venue, but that's to be expected

Fantastic place

I came here with my parents who live about 30 mins away, who aren’t vegan. It is so difficult to find anywhere who can cater to all of us, but Le Georges was brilliant. I had the Tagine with Couscous, followed by the Tarte Tatin with vegan ice cream. I then had a coffee with soya milk. All of it was delicious (especially the Tarte Tatin) and next time I visit my family we’ll definitely be coming back here.

Pros: Food was delicious, Service was very friendly, Not too expensive

Well worth a visit.

Despite being in a sleepy village in the Haute Vienne countryside, in the middle of Limousin cattle country, Le Georges has several vegan options, vegan cheeses, desserts and gluten free options.
My friends and I dined on the terrace on a warm Thursday evening and had a lovely time.
Billie served us and explained our options, including different cheeses we could have in the veggie burger. She happily substituted rice for noodles in the tofu dish for my gluten intolerant friend and brought her some gluten free bread to go with her Greek salad. She also had gluten free beer.
My other friend and I had a cheeseburger. The burger was tasty and made with lentils and either rice or another white carbohydrate. We had the choice of several condiments, including bbq sauce, ketchup, mayo and sriracha mayo. The burger also came with a homemade curried apple chutney, which was delicious.
We were offered tarte tatin and vanilla ice cream for dessert but were sadly too full to partake. Not to be left out, Billie offered my gluten free friend warm almond biscuits with red fruits, red fruit coulis and ice cream. When we all declined dessert, we were offered a complimentary warm almond biscuit to try. They were delicious!
The only negative for me was no oat barista for a coffee but I was assured that plant milks are usually available, so I look forward to a coffee after my meal when I return next Sunday and beyond.
Having returned on the Sunday, we enjoyed our meal again and the desserts and coffees were delicious.

Brilliant

Having recently moved to the village, it’s a godsend having a lovely place to go and be confident I can eat at. Cliff the chef was previously vegan for 6 years so he understands what he’s doing! I’ve had several delicious homemade meals here - beetroot tart, lentil ratatouille roulade, chickpea curry, burger… they made me special dishes for Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve - absolutely brilliant owners and just let them know and they will sort you out!

Pros: Good value, Amazing staff, Cosy
