Vegan Moroccan Dish - Edit
It’s the first vegan restaurant that i find Moroccan .I like that you can choose half portions and they also have a kind of testing menu.

Among the Best - Edit
There are many options available, and everything we tried was excellent. The prices are a bit on the high side, but are warranted by the quality of the food and the service.

Healthy, excellent food - Edit
This is a health-oriented vegan restaurant with delicious food. You order food at the counter, and the staff dishes out the food on your plates. Everything is ready made, so there is not a lot of waiting. Although there are not a lot of choices, they are sufficient, and the food is very tasty and hearty. Despite the casual atmosphere, the food is quite elegant.
Read moreThere are some table for groups to sit at, as well as some stools. Although I don't mind them, admittedly some of my friends have complained that the seats are not entirely comfortable. I have eaten here a bunch of times, usually with friends (it is a bit expensive to eat here alone on a regular basis), and everyone likes the food.
Le Botaniste is a small chain. This particular branch is right by the Armory and Hunter College. As of this writing, I feel the best vegan restaurant on the Upper East Side (between 59th and 110 St.) is Beyond Sushi (81st Street), which has waiter service and more comfortable seating, in addition to great food. I would rank Le Botaniste second best on the Upper East Side. Ginger Root (on 1st Avenue) is also very good (though Le Botaniste has healthier fare), and Tamam (77th St.) is good for a quick bit or takeout.
Pros: Healthy, delicious fare, Quick service.
Cons: A bit pricey, Seats could be uncomfortable

Overpriced and confusing - Edit
The way the menu is set up is very confusing. There are dishes listed on the menu board and you can also see the different things that go into them (veggies, carbs, sauces....)behind a glass case. The way this is organized makes it hard to see what’s goes with what to make what dish. The section with fresh veggies and stuff also gave me the false impression that I got to modify with that like at chipotle/subway—not the case!
Read moreThe food is okay. Nutritious and good quality but nothing to write home about. It’s a bit pricey for what it is but I guess if organic is really your thing it’s fine for Manhattan.
Pros: Good quality , Nutritious , Organic
Cons: Expensive , Confusing menu

Rare tasty treat on the UES - Edit
For a couple of years, pre-covid, I had to be in the UES for a project and would stop in at Le Botaniste for lunch afterwards and found it always tasty and filling. I am partial to the Tibetan Mama (with extra kimchi) and Spicy Chili Sin Carne. The project has now restarted so I stopped by last week for an outdoor bowl of Tibetan Mama and was so happy to be able to do so!

Cons: I wish the brocolli was cooked more, or grilled.

The seating model is fast casual, but it's no burger with fried seitan sort of place. Everything was organic and loaded with vegetables. The flavors are strong and the recommended combinations meld them all together very well.

Interesting options - Edit
We selected this place as we wanted a vegan restaurant that wasn't a "burger joint" to have a sit-down dinner. I didn't realize that there wasn't any table service, but we stayed anyway. We prefer two of the botanical menus as you get to try three items for the price of two regular size portions. It gave us a chance to try many of the bowls. All were good. The chili was the highest rated at the table. But none were really monumental. The desserts were even more unexceptional in flavor. Oh well, still happy it's plant-based.

Cons: No table service, Desserts are more title than flavor

Le Botaniste is by far my favorite vegan restaurant! Their food is all vegan and organic. It is a chipotle like establishment where you pick what you want from the counter. I recommend the Tibetan mama it’s so flavorful!

Good value for money. Chairs could be better - Edit
Food is great and staff is amazing.
Read moreThings to improve are:
1. There are no waiters and you have to get in a line to get your food. All is good if you order all at the same time. But if you order your meal, and then want dessert afterwards, you have to get back in line. That’s sort of annoying....
2. The chairs are actually benches, so you can’t really stay longer than 15 minutes. I assume the logic for that is increasing capacity, which is great, but then prices should be lower.
This is a relatively expensive part of Manhattan, so keep that in mind (meal and dessert is around 50 bucks per person, tip included)

Love the food here. They are health focused and all organic. They say 99% organic, but the 1% is because of the salt. The food is tasty and decently priced. Definitely a place to try if you are more health focused.

Food****
A delightful surprise from a completely vegan restaurant that sports an eclectic menu of healthy options. We ordered the Tibetan Mama, which was a delicious curry sauce with quinoa, vegetables, and we added the “free range” tofu (haha)! The flavor was there, the texture of the tofu was perfect, and the vegetables were cooked just right. We love the humor that they inject into this quirky little restaurant designed to look like an old pharmacy! The Superseed Avocado bite hit the spot and complimented the Tibetan Mama nicely w/ a more neutral taste for the palette.
Service****
Friendly counter service with a very knowledgeable food preparer that informs guests of all their offerings. We were very pleased with service all around.
Atmosphere****
Cute, quirky, designed like an old style pharmacy and plenty of places to eat with SPACE! A god send in New York!
Price$$
Not the cheapest but not expensive by any means. If you’re like us you can easily split a bowl (portion sizes are hefty).
Pros: Hefty portion sizes, Moderately priced, Delicious flavors
Cons: Might be expensive for some
