Tasty and filling, great value

A bit hidden away but a little gem when you find it. I had the seitan schnitzel with parsley potatoes and salad, very tasty and a large portion so make sure you are hungry when you go...

They also offer a selection of vegan cakes, I joked with the waitress that I couldn't decide between banana or coconut and she suggested half and half, which worked well. Overall good value for money - main course, salad, cake and soft drink came in at under €20.

Decor is bright and colourful with background music that is cheerful without being overpowering. All in all, a good find and definitely somewhere I'll go again if I have the opportunity.

Pros: Large portions, Cake!, Friendly English-speaking staff

Best vegan schintzel and goulash

Really good food, best I tried in Vienna. Place is nice and not busy. The cordon bleu was from another world.

Authentic

I was looking for authentic austrian vegan cuisine and found what I was looking for. The Wiener Schnitzel was delicious and the dip was even better.

Traditional Austrian Cuisine for Reasonable Prices

Landia has a great variety of the local Austrian and Central European Cuisine with weekly changing dishes as well as a seasonal and permanent menu.
Most dishes are vegan and this is clearly marked. Been there a couple of times and really enjoyed trying myself through some Austrian/European classics, like the Zwiebelrostbraten, the Wildragout or the Szegediner Goulash. Their home made lemonades are really good as well.

Pros: Authentic Local Kitchen, Great Variety

Super bon !

Need to come back ASAP!

In an unassuming alley in a residential area you can find this hidden gem. Landia serves traditional austrian food but as veggie/vegan, and they do it well.
The onion roast was absolutely to die for. I also had one of the selfmade lemonades with elderflower and fresh berries which was probably the best one I've had so far, as well as a apple-poppy raw bite I fell in love with immediately. This is definitely a must try, even my non-vegan parents loved the food there!

Pros: good vibes (kinda teleports you back to the 90s?), amazing food & selfmade drinks, allergy marking for every dish

Cons: *cash only*, finding the location might be a bit confusing

5* VeGansl 👌

Traditional-Austrian-style vegetarian & vegan food in a cosy place tucked away right by Viennas most popular shopping street. The service is decent, and while I'm rarely blown away, I am never disappointed and keep finding myself coming back to this place. The thing that Landia does best in my opinion is the vegan Martini-Gansl which is sadly (!) available only during its season.

Pros: VeGansl, Central location, Traditional local cuisine

Cons: Vegansl is not available year-round

Great food! We shared several dishes

Lovely staff and food! We shared 3 different dishes to be able to have a taste of different things.

A lot of the food can be made completely vegan as well.

Beware, they do not take credit card

Pros: Vegan possibilities

Cons: No credit card, only cash

austrian classics (CASH ONLY)

i came for lunch on a tuesday and there was maybe one other guest.
the service was fast and staff friendly, and there's a big menu. contrary to the last review i think everything was well labelled. "vegan" was vegan and "v*" veganizable. even the drinks were labelled which i found great because others often forget to do that!

i chose to eat semmelknödel (austrian dumplings) with gulasch. the portion was very large and it tasted good. the gulasch was made with seitan and the texture was incredibly authentic. if this wasn't a veg place i'd been sure it was real meat😅. in my opinion, there was too much sauce and it lacked veggies but since this is a classic recipe it probably was to be expected. therefore, i'd recommend this place if you search for austrian classics but if you want a well balanced meal you should probably go somewhere else.

Pros: austrian classics, tasty & authentic, fair price, tap water for free (ask), clean restroom

Cons: too much sauce for me, lack of veggies due to the classic recipes

Good food

Really nice vegan range - every single item sounds amazing. But the menu is a bit unclear whether and dish is vegetarian or (can be made) vegan. Also the interior and the atmosphere is rather outdated. The taste is good, maybe a tad bland. In a nutshell, I can recommend it for your Austrian food cravings!

Pros: Quick service, Great selection, Austrian comfort food

Cons: Old interior, Food could use some oomph, Confusing menu

Great Austrian food in a chilled atmosphere

We had a really pleasant dinner, great Austrian food and chilled atmosphere! The place is in a quiet street, away from the traffic.
It’s very spartan and easy but we like it. Service is quick.

They have baby chair and some toys. No changing table.

Pros: Many choices, Cheap

Many vegan options

They offer a great variety of dishes, most of them vegan or available in vegan. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good prices... and the food is delicious and the portion sizes are very big. I really loved it here and there was at least 10 vegan dishes.

Incredible. I loved the fact that I could eat vegan Austrian classics veganized while here. They also used seitan more than soy-based products, which is always refreshing. Really good portions tbh. Also my friend got a really good drink!

Pros: Portion sizes, Austrian classics veganized , Vibes

Delicious Austrian Dishes (vegan)

At Landia there are at lot of traditional Austrian dishes (but not exclusively) which taste really good and "authentic". A wide range of really good and tasty dishes. Vegetarian options available.

Authentic local food

I love the concept of having vegan/vegetarian food of Austria and the neighboring countries. I had the schnitzel with a chili dip and it was really nice. From the pictures I was afraid that it would not be enough but I even couldn’t finish it because it was very filling. The interior could be a little bit nicer though, and they only take cash which is a little inconvenient (but at least there is a bank nearby).
