Delicioso y buena onda - Edit

Clap clap clap - Edit

Einfach Spitzenklasse!

Very delicious vegan food - Edit
All vegan menu! The food was very delicious and was handmade! We had to wait a little because they freshly prepared the food but it was definitely worth the wait. We ate empanaditas as "entrada", the seitan sandwich and the milanesa de seitan con ratatouille. The fresh juices were also very good. I would definitely come back if I ever visit Iguazú again!

Only vegan restaurant in town - Edit
It's the only vegan place in town. Very nice and welcoming staff who work very hard, juggling cooking and service. Tasty food in large portions and surprisingly cheap by local standards. A few things could be improved, but it's a great place overall

Good to support but a bit disappointed - Edit
This restaurant is the only vegan place in town so I'm glad we went, and it is good to support it. Food was pretty good, and it is all outdoor seating. They were out of both tofu and salad the night we went which was disappointing. Friendly staff member who was working alone, so we had to wait a bit longer than normal. The toilet was dirty which is a turn off for me, despite it being not uncommon on our travels.

Authentic Argentinian Vegan! - Edit
Savory and completely vegan! This place was amazing. We had the empanadas and milanesa - and wow! So much food! If you’re looking for authentic, made from scratch vegan Argentinian food - this place was fantastic. They had American-styled food on the menu too. Sweet proprietors and even an english menu!

The only vegan restaurant in town - Edit
This is the only vegan restaurant in Puerto Iguazu so of course I had to come! On the first day, they seemed closed (lights off, with no tables) but the staff eagerly greeted me and prepared my dish when I came. The second night, they seemed properly open. Their seitan milanesa with ratatouille was quite tasty and came in a generous portion. Reasonable prices. Convenient location near the town center and the bus terminal. The setup is a bit funny though; it's basically a kitchen with a few outdoor tables. I think the quirkiness is part of their vibe though so I didn't mind!

A gem - Edit
A bit off the tourist strip but only 550m from the bus terminal. Delicious and carefully prepared dish - I had the seitan cutlet with ratatouille. All food is freshly made in house. Friendly and hospitable owners. Open for dinner and late into the night. Unfortunately, I had to leave to catch a bus and was sad to leave what promised to be a good time.

A very long wait time - Edit
We ordered 6 empanadas, because we wanted to have something for breakfast and lunch the next day. They first forgot about us, and after 1h we reminded them and only then have they realized we are waiting. Then we waited another 30min, after we started to lose patience and went to eat somewhere else saying we will come back in 30-60min to pick up the empanadas. I reminded them what we ordered. When we came back they still weren't ready. When they finally made them, we only got 4, instead of 6 we ordered - they forgot again despite us reminding them not that long time ago. The grilled vegetables empanadas were tasty, but the soy ones not so much. Overall, unfortunately a bad experience. Sad since they are the only vegan place in town. I had a good dinner in buffet in Bakery and Confectionery El Árbol Real

Nice dinner - Edit
We had a seitan milanesa with ratatouille and chickpea milanesa with salad (they didn't have tofu). The wait was quite long but we were warned about this as the seitan milanesas were made a la minute. The meals were nice however the chickpea milanesa was quite dry and not the most flavourful.

Yay for vegan food in puerto iguazu! - Edit
So happy to find a vegan place here because there's VERY limited options elsewhere. I grabbed an empanada and returned the next day for an escalope and cocktails. The food was all fresh and delicious -the mash in particular was amazing! It's a casual place so don't expect anything fancy but expect tasty fresh food, lovely staff and reasonable prices.

Vegan restaurant in Puerto Iguazu - Edit
La Vaca Empoderada is an amazing vegan restaurant in Puerto Iguazu that truly stands out for its delicious dishes and exceptional service. The menu features a great variety of thoughtfully prepared vegan options from flavorful vegetable fritters, empanadas, and nuggets to exquisite main dishes like the chickpea Milanesa with mashed potatoes and seitan Milanesa with ratatouille. The handmade pastas with fresh sauces add a wonderful artisanal touch to the dining experience. In my first night, I got the ravioli with cassava fries and my husband got the burger with a fresh coconut (water and flesh inside). We enjoyed a very large glass of Malbec too. We confirmed that the wine was vegan. On my second night, we got the onion rings, seitan with ratatouille, and spaghetti with bolognese. All of it was amazing, and freshly prepared - even the pasta noodles.
Read moreWhat truly makes this place special is the warm and attentive service provided by the staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere that complements the food perfectly. It is clear they put a lot of love and care into both the cooking and customer care. This combination makes La Vaca Empoderada a gem for both locals and tourists visiting Iguazu Falls.
It is hoped that this restaurant remains a beloved staple in the community for many years to come, continuing to delight visitors and residents alike with its vegan delights and heartfelt hospitality. A true must-visit spot for anyone in the Iguazu area!

Lovely owners, nice food! - Edit
We visited here 25/9/25. Menu varied with some unusual options. We opted to share the onion rings which had an amazing mustard dip. Hubby had empanadas and I had spaghetti bolognese then we shared a cold version of rice pudding. All really nice.
Read moreWe also had a lovely red Malbec and the glasses were very generous. We did not see seitan on the menu as shown in the former reviews though.
Another bonus, the owners have 3 dogs that are friendly and will visit you at your table. Grandma, Luna and Pilchard? basically grandma, mom and son! 🐾 one of the staff also speaks good English.
Only criticism is the toilet and wash basin need a really good scrub.
Pros: All vegan, varied menu, nice food, Very reasonable prices. Generous wine measures, Friendly staff and dogs!
Cons: Bathroom dirty.
