Our new favourite pizzeria - Edit

All in all a great spot, of course needs little improvement but the guys are relatively new.
We tried the bruschetta entree and La stella nera pizza which were amazing.
Better ring them and book a table beforehand as it can get busy.

Pros: staff is very friendly, amazing pizzas, good prices

Cons: interior could use some improvement (decor!), the tiramisu needs more coffee and less cream

Nice diversity of toppings - Edit

It's a small restaurant so it's best to book a table in advance if you want to make sure you get a seat!
There are salads, pasta and pizza dishes on the menu as well as a few desserts.
My husband and I had a pizza each and although we really liked the crust, we were disappointed in the lack of taste for one of them. The other was was nice- nothing spectacular, but nice. We both tried the vegan cheese-free options but I like the fact that each pizza was available with or without vegan cheese.
I also had the tiramisu and that was a real disappointment. Although the creamy part was tasty, it felt too heavy for my liking and the "biscuit" part was some kind of bread- not a great texture for a tiramisu and very little taste.
Yet, I think I would happily go back there to have another pizza, but I would probably choose a different one and stay away from the tiramisu!
They also do take aways.

Pros: Nice crust, Nice selection of toppings, Nice staff

Cons: Small sitting space, Not all pizzas are as tasty, The Tiramisu is not great

A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - Edit

We arrived without booking to find the restaurant full, but the waitress was SO helpful and said she would hold the next available table for us. We went for a drink in a close by bar and came back an hour later to find a table waiting for us! The place smelt amazing so I was suuppppper happy to have gotten a table.

The pizza was incredible. I had a smoked chilli tofu one that was so tasty; really crispy base, spicy. We were given a garlic oil and chilli oil which were both incredible too.

Service was incredible, even though obviously very busy!

Definitely recommend booking because it'd suck to miss out.

Pros: Amazing stonebaked pizza, Vegan wines, Outstanding staff

cute place with great food! - Edit

Last week, I went here with my (non-vegan!) family and everyone was so happy with the food they got. My brother just loved his vegan pepperoni pizza! also, get their awesome chestnut paste with pomegranate and cream...😍

Best pizzas in the world 😋 - Edit

Best pizzas ever! - Edit

We had our Christmas eve dinner at La Stella Nera, we had antipasti, pizza and dessert (tiramisu and chestnut vermicelli). I can't describe how amazing were the pizzas! The crust is really like in Naples (my mum is from there), light, tender and crispy, just perfect! The vegan cheese is melting like heaven. Every ingredient was tasty and high quality. Also the best vegan tiramisu i've eaten! The staff is a group of passionate vegan guys, there are thoughtful and helpful, they make this place special. Thank you, we will go back to try the homemade pastas!! Oh and it is cheap so everybody can afford it (pizza around 10 € or below and dessert 3,5€!!)

Pros: Large pizzas, Very cheap, kind staff

Cons: There are no cons!

Serious? Not sure what the hype is all about. - Edit

Tried the pizza here. It was some of the least impressive pizza I've ever eaten. The dough was thoroughly burnt on the outer crust. The dough in the middle tasted rubbery. Nothing like what true neapolitan tastes like. The toppings all tasted salty and like they came straight out of a can. I've had really good neapolitan pizza before, and this place was far far from coming close to being good.

The place was frigid too. There was no heat turned on. Everyone in the place had their coats on.

I can't help but think all the 5 star reviews are disingenuous. Maybe they are friends and family trying to pump up the rating?

I would never go back.

Pros: None

Cons: Burnt pizza crust., Toppings tasted like they came out of a can., Ambience.

So utterly delicious - Edit

The interior is not very appealing - but the food ... deserves high praises.

Very nice presented food. I had Smoked Tofu caprese and pizza rosso verdure, tiramisu and cappuccino as dessert. Starter and main were divine, the tiramisu rather watery and tasteless. The coffee very nice and strong.

A lot of choice; pizza with and without tomato sauce (pizza bianca and pizza rosso) and with and without vegan cheese. A few pasta dishes are also on the menu.

Have to come again and try another pizza and pasta.

Very attentive service!

Pros: lots of choice, great service, good value for money

Cons: unappealing interior

Very tastefull vegan pizzas ! - Edit

Since I’m vegan, the only pizza I was available to eat in a restaurant were simply vegetables pizza without the mozzarella, in the traditionnal french pizzeria. This entirely vegan restaurant open a new vegan pizza life for me. The menu offers different pizzas, with or without tomato sauce and with or without vegan cheese. You can choose any pizza and asking vegan cheese in supplement if you want. That’s what I did. So I tried the Stella Nera with cheese and my husband, a meat eater, asked for the patata e cipolle. Both were very tastefull, absolutely huge and the dough was so amazing. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We were full and satisfied. The menu had desserts but we had no more room for this. It was a very great experience ! Thanks !

Pros: Large choice of pizza, All vegan, including desserts

Cons: No sweet pizzas

Worth the visit! - Edit

Really nice quant place with a classy atmosphere. The prices are quite fair for the quality and service. If you have ever tried Neapolitan pizza you will see how the pizza here is beautifully done in the traditional Neapolitan style as are the desserts. The crust of Neapolitan pizza is very particular and this place does it to a perfection! I'm an American who likes more cheese on my pizza; however the quality and taste of this pizza is worth the smaller amount of cheese - no kidding! I highly recommend it!

Pros: It's a Kollektive - Collective, Authentic, Vegan

Best pizza ever - Edit

We visited Berlin for four days eating all kinds of vegan food, from Viasco to Lucky Leek, to falafel and the breakfast buffé at Kopps, but the absolute best meal we had was at La stella nera. Their pizza was the best I've had in my entire life. Perfect crust, not too much topping, delicious flavors. If you're looking for the regular pizza to stuff your face with, this is not the place. This is a medium size pizza that is totally different from other pizzas. If you must choose one place to eat in Berlin, go here!

Pros: Homemade smoked tofu, Socialist/anarchist, nice concept for the business, Relatively cheap

Cons: Desserts could be a little better, One time they forgot one pizza and got mad at us, when we told them. Could improve on that!

Great Pizza - Edit

Had a great Neapolitan Style Pizza. Crunchy crust, floppy middle - to be cut in half, folded and eaten by hand.
Very kind waiter.
A little bit too much effort to have fancy options on the menu which can cause some confusion. Less would be more.

Cozy place with nice menu - Edit

A very nice relaxed place with friendly staff and an interesting menu. Italian style but innovative. I had a beer and pasta with smoked tofu and thurmeric. It was not amazing but still very nice food. I sympathize with the cooperation way of running a restaurant. I would go there again!

Pros: friendly staff, good price

Could not be happier with that pizza - Edit

I am very sceptical when it comes to vegan pizza. Pizza without real cheese, seriously? I was not a big fan of fake soy cheese in most vegan pizzerias. But as I want to start a new part of my life, a cheese-free part of my life, and avoid dairy, I went here to give this vegan pizza a try. I was not expecting anything special and even a bit of sadness while chewing on a pizza and missing real cheese, when I am honest. But ... OMG, this was the best pizza I had in years!!! The crust was just perfection! The tomato sauce was just delicious and I was not disappointed even a little bit. It was fabiolous!

Simply Delicious - Edit

I found la Stella Nera flyer in a vegan fast food in Kreuzberg and decided to pay them a visit for a lovely Sunday lunch.
The service was nice and quick, the pizza (I had the salami one) was awesome - by the way, I'm Italian and that was one of the best pizzas I ever had in my whole life! - and my glass of white wine (Pecorino) definitely made my day.
The project of this kollectiv is great, please go there and support them, they definitely deserve it!

Pros: Excellent food, Nice and quick service

Pretty good! - Edit

Those were in fact pretty good pizzas. A bit thin and moist for my liking though. I think I could've cut it in half with my finger because of the moisture. I don't know if that's how real pizza is supposed to be, but I would've preferred it a bit thicker and dryer.
Taste was great, the salami on my pizza was reasonably convincing and the cheese was pretty good too.
Though, I think I might want to explore the rest of Berlin's pizza options, before going back here.

Pros: Great taste, Collectively run, Cheap

Cons: Thin and moist pizza

Perfect italian food - Edit

Pizza was perfect, pasta was perfect, antipasti were perfect, service was perfect, atmosphere was perfect.
AND they use organic products, AND it's run as a collective !

Pros: Did i say the food was perfect?, Friendly staff, Collective restaurant

Best pizza ever - Edit

So so cheap, so so delicious. I challenge anyone to find better pizza than this in Berlin, vegan or non-vegan! I came here with a meat eating/cheesophile friend and she shares this opinion. The service is lightening fast, too! A whole pizza will cost you €5-€10 depending on the complexity of your toppings. My advice: Less is more.

The staff are friendly, and the pastas and desserts looked delicious. I wish I could have fit them in!

So sad I don't live in Berlin. If I did, I would eat here weekly.

Pros: Fast service, Did I mention how delicious it is, Value for money

Cons: Nothing

Great Itallian food - Edit

At first, I was not convinced by the pizza without cheese, but I'm so glad I ordered it. It was simple but so very good. I did not have to wait long at all and the staff were very friendly.

They use a woodoven and you can see them making your pizza.

It's run as a collective, which is a big plus for me.

Pros: Woodoven, collective, excellent pizza

**** This. Is. Delicious. - Edit

Like, I've been preaching for Il Ritrovo my entire time in Berlin. It was the best pizza I'd had. The Ritrovo guys topped the pizzas I've eaten in Italy, and that's saying something. That restaurant became a sort of comforting oasis of peace in a shitty 9-to-5 day of meetings. It's really, really good.

But white boy, you're thinking, this is La Stella Nera! Right. I'm getting there.

La Stella Nera (LSN) tops Il Ritrovo, spits on its face, and laughs mockingly as it runs afoot into the night. Or something like that. As I'd rank Il Ritrovo a 9/10 in terms of food, LSN can only be fairly graded with a 10. It *is* perfect. Both places could do better in other areas. But LSN can't do much to improve its food.

The pizza dough ferments for over 24 hours, if I recall correctly. It becomes soft and chewy, the stuff of dreams and romance books ridden with tales of clouds. The tomato sauce is just right. I'd throw in a bit of extra garlic, but that says more about me than them. (Garlic on all the things!) The toppings are generous and tasty.

As I bite into this baby, my brain goes blank on all the bad stuff that's going on in the world. I'm reminded of an early morning when I read The Importance of Being Ernest. Pure, calm bliss. That's LSN.

The olive bruschetta is darn good too, as is the tiramisu. As far as vegan tiramisu goes, only Viasko has topped this one.

I could go on and on about my new favorite place in Berlin, but we all have other shit to do. Just try it. It might not be your favorite type of pizza. Maybe you're into four cheeses (ugh). But this will be good, I promise. Fast forward a few years, you'll remember LSN and quietly whisper "good times."

TL;DR: Stellar!

The best pizza I've ever had - Edit

I've been a fan of Italian food my whole life, even before I went vegan. I've also been to Italy a few times and was always in love with the food.

With that being said, this is the best pizza I've had in my whole existence.
It's just the perfect combination of my favourite things: chewy and dense dough, spicy tomato sauce and the best ingredients.

Just amazing.

Pros: Excellent crust, Extensive menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Far away from Prenzlauer Berg ^.^

Wow! - Edit

This place offers exactly what I need! Great tasting pizzas with options without vegan cheese or even without marinara sauce. I had one with nothing else than smoked tofu, potatoes, champignons and some rosemary and it was delicious! Next day we came back for the homemade pasta. Again I took a simple one with some veggies and it was exceptional! I mean, not many people can create flavoursome dishes with only a few simple ingredients. Keep it up La Stella Nera! :)

Pros: Friendly staff, Options without vegan cheese, Down to earth and delicious!

Great wood oven pizzas ! - Edit

We had the Stella nera pizza which was really good with a small salad. And the desert... The most delicious tiramisu I've tasted in a very long time ! All their food is vegan including beer and wine. The red oat ale is amazing !! A good place to go after a few drinks at klunkerkranich.

Pros: wood oven, collective owned restaurant

Friendly staff, quick service and delicious - Edit

Our server was friendly, service was quick and the pizzas tasted great and were big! I especially loved the bases and they serve a local beer made by an indie brewery collective. Outside seating was nice and it was on a quiet side street so a little calmer than Hermanstraße.

Pros: Everything vegan, Run by a collective, Quick service

Cons: None

This pizza is good! - Edit

We had two pizzas to share, plus a salad and vegan wine. We really enjoyed all of the food. The salad had a good balance of flavours and textures, with smoked tofu pieces. The pizzas are perfect for those who love their crust thick, chewy and charred. We had one which featured vegan cheese which was quite pleasant. Lovely service. Would recommend a visit.

Best food in town! - Edit

I have this place in my heart!

Isn't only vegan and collectively running, but the food is amazing! Fresh ingredients for salads and the dopest pizza in town! Their dough are just "art". Tasty as hell and soooooooo perfect made!

The secret might be tons of love that they put in doing what they love and believe! You can feel that just by the lovely and nice way that the crew take your order!

AND FINALLY A VERY NICE PLACE WITH AMAZING FOOD WHERE I CAN HAVE A DECENT ALCOHOL-FREE BEER!
(^ Sorry, I had to shout this out of me!! :D )

And according with the new gossips (in their website), the fresh made pasta is finally "in tha house" and I can't wait to try! o/

Pros: amazing food, sweet [email protected], amazing drinks options

Cons: there is not!!

sadly just not for me - Edit

I've been looking forward to coming here for a while now as I've heard that it's supposed to be better and more organised than Sfizy. Maybe that's why I've been so disappointed. Not at all with the service though! The staff is incredibly nice and very accommodating but the pizza just wasn't for me. Far too few toppings and the dough was quite chewy. I probably won't be coming back but everyone's taste in pizza is different. Some like it chewy and American, some like it crisp and Italian and some like lots, some like little toppings. If you don't mind the dough being more on the American side and don't mind very little toppings this place might be perfect for you!
I feel bad giving a bad review as I love their concept and their co-op organisation! But I wish someone had told me beforehand.

Pros: lovely staff, super quick service

Cons: their pizza is not as italian as they claim it to , pricey for the amount of toppings you get

Kalorienbombe 16 Jul 2016 - Sorry, but a chewy crust doesn't necessarily have anything to do with "American style". In Italy there are countless styles of pizza. They claim to do neapolitan pizza, which has a chewier crust and not that much topping (If any, except good tomato sauce and cheese). And that, they nailed.
The price is probably also caused by the much larger amount of work that goes into making a neapolitan style pizza dough...
Not to say that you're not allowed to not like it, of course...

Best Pizza Ever!! - Edit

Definitely come here if you get the chance - well worth a train ride if you're not near by! Such a tasty pizza, the vegan mozzarella was great and my boyfriend's pizza without cheese was just as tasty. Definitely the best meal we had during our stay in Berlin and such a reasonable price too. It was a friendly place with many regular customers coming in and its clear why!

Pros: amazing pizza, inexpensive , friendly staff

superleckere vegane Pizza / Best vegan Pizza in Berlin - Edit

Leckerste Pizza in Berlin - Edit

Pros: Leckere Pizza, Freundlicher Service, Kollektiv
