An all-vegan cat cafe & pet adoption center. Situated in a peaceful garden in the heart of Oaxaca; home to many adult cats and some kittens. Serves a variety of desserts, cakes and cookies, in addition to coffee in different presentations at no extra cost for the wide variety of vegetable milks available. Offers daily changing savory options from golden tacos to pita sandwiches. Open Mon 12:00pm-8:00pm, Fri-Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm. Closed Tue-Thur.

Extraño a mis gatas, pero La Selva ayuda - Edit
I’m missing my cats at home, but The Jungle of The Cats helped. A couple dozen friendly felines was exactly what I needed today. It was a huge plus to have tasty vegan food, too! I got the tostadas de suadero, chai tea with coconut milk, and the mango cake which was more like a mango cake trifle. Everything was excellent.
Read moreA gorgeous calico whose markings are very similar to my friend’s cat, Noodles, who passed away a month ago, napped while I took her picture. I told my friend I would nickname this cat Fideos. (I know they all have names selected by the humans who take care of them.) And the Siamese tripod kitty is not to be missed!
Pros: Cats cats cats!, Tasty vegan food, Close to Mercado de la Merced
Cons: A little pricier than similar places, but, I figure it goes to the cats.

If you do one thing in Oaxaca - make it this … the food was amazing, the cats took it to a whole other level! It is clear there is no limit to the love and care they get, the staff put everything into this place and it’s incredible!

Gorgeous happy cats, delicious food and coffee - Edit
I’ve been twice - had the most amazing passion fruit cheesecake and a very tasty chocolate brownie. Both with no refined sugar which is a bonus. Coffee was also excellent. The environment is very peaceful, nice patio and garden, and the cats seem very happy and content. Love this place - if I lived here I think I’d be here every day!

Lovely little cafe and cat sanctuary! The menu seems basic but it's all surprisingly delicious. It's a tiny bit more expensive than other places we've eaten in mexico but it's still much cheaper than Europe, and the money you pay goes towards looking after the cats as well which is good. Bagel and carrot "salmon" was nice and also some sopes (sort of like tacos) both good and really good dessert too- think they change up the menu a lot but not 100% sure.

Surprisingly delicious food! - Edit
This is a really cute and peaceful place where you can interact with the very sweet cats. I was happy to support the good cause but also pleasantly surprised at how good my dish was! I had a 'salmon' (carrot) and cream cheese bagel and it was really really good! Definitely recommend going slightly out of the centre to pay this place a visit. The service was also very friendly.

Phenomenal vegan food w/phenomenal cats - Edit
I went expecting time with the cats and a snack. Wow! What a snack! It was a multi-layered fresh dessert and freshly-brewed tea. I now plan to return for more than just an afternoon dessert because I now realize they have creativity in their kitchen.

We had a wonderful vegan mango/chocolate cake with cream, and a coffee! (They have almond, oat, soy and coconut milk!!!!!) Everything made with love and really tasty! In the mean time we could pet the lovely cats, very recommended

All vegan cafe and cat rescue centre 😻 - Edit
Super cute outdoor vegan cafe with the purpose of rescuing cats! I wanted something sweet so ordered the pastel chocolate and raspberry muffin and they also had lots of other vegan desserts (postres), vegan sandwiches, salads and plant milks for coffee. This vegan cafe is VERY deserving of a visit.
