Who knew this place is a 99% vegan bakery? - Edit
When I lived in Conce for over a year, I often walked past this bakery looking through the window wishing it was vegan. My partner who's Chilean always said to me "I really doubt they have anything vegan" because from outside they really do look like any other small local bakery, but one day I made him come inside with me to check whether they had at least one or two options for me, and guess what...almost everything is completely vegan. We were both stunned! 😯I was so thrilled we have pictures of me looking very, very excited for my warm cinnamon roll.
Read moreThe owners were really friendly, clearly explained what was (not) vegan and we've tried a bunch of options from here now. It gets our seal of approval; everything we've tried so far has been really satisfying.
This place doesn't just sell traditional bread, it's artisanal. They have cookies 🍪 brownies, lemon cake 🍰 other traditional sweet Chilean treats, preserves in jars that you can take home, pizza rolls with tomato and herbs plus one vegetarian pizza roll that does have melted cheese on top (so the only reason they're not 100% vegan).
☕ It's not a sit-down bakery, but if you want to grab a hot drink to go with your cake or pastry, they offer espresso, americano, cappuccino and lattes to-go. I've taken pics of everything so that you can see what's on offer.
I'm so glad I found this place, and I hope more people check it out too!
Pros: Everything is vegan (apart from the pizza roll), They offer sweet and savoury vegan options , They have traditional Chilean sweet options too
Cons: No obviously vegan signage outside, They're closed on Sunday?
