This is a small and very cozy place with a lovely atmosphere. The staff was kind and welcoming. They didn’t speak much English, but we were still able to communicate without any problems.
Read moreWe had a burger and they kindly prepared it in a gluten-free version for us. The gluten-free buns were really great – soft, fresh, and very tasty. We also ordered fried potatoes with a cheese sauce, and both the potatoes and the sauce were excellent. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and everything tasted amazing.
I definitely recommend this place!

Es un sitio pequeño, pero muy acogedor. Tienen algunos mensajes antiespecistas , que siempre es un plus. Comida variada internacional. Probamos croquetas y el choripán, que es una pasada, necesito volver para volver a probarlo.

I wish i wasnt there alone bc this rly is a place to order many tapas and share them! They are all very tasty judging from the dishes I had. Menu with a more latin inspiration. Absolutely loved the chorripan w pebre. The tortilla was ok. Wish they had deserts but i didnt have space anymore either way xD

Además, siguen teniendo su famosa lasagna con la que empezaron en aquel puestito del mercado.
Y nunca irse sin terminar con su espectacular brownie!

This was seriously delicious! We had a burrito, lentil lasagna and a tortilla and everything was fantastic (rated by one of our party as the best meal of our whole trip). Staff were lovely, food came quickly, only thing I was sad about was no desserts that night (possibly just ran out, I didn’t ask if there’s usually something sweet). Would come here a lot if lived nearby!

Ughhh I love this place soo much! I've been coming here for almost a decade and it just keeps getting better and better. They leveled up their homemade lasagna and it is truly a must try (not on the printed menu but there is a sign, just ask). It has everything that comes together in a perfect way. Sandwiches and the tortilla are great too. Cheap and delicious food in the bustling atmosphere of the San Fernando market. One of my favorites in Madrid.

It took us a while to find it inside the market but it was so worth it. I found it so amazing that they had this vegan option in there among so many meat eating places. We had the empanada that was filled with lentils, I forgot to take a picture of that because it was so flavorful that we devoured in seconds lol we also had the cheddar fries. Such a delicious “cheese”. Amazing job. Loved all the stickers too. My kind of people. 💙

La Alpargata es una pequeña taberna vegana situada en el Mercado de san Fernando.

Dentro del menú hay muchas opciones de pinchos y tapas, además de bocadillos y comida para compartir.
Recomiendo mucho las patatas robadas, con cualquiera de sus salsas, y el choripan.
El ambiente es increíble y la comida está brutal.

Hemos probado dos platos principales, pastel de choclo y timbal de ensaladilla.
Como siempre, la atención es maravillosa y el ambiente "sudaka kuir" mola un montón.
Si quieres probar algo distinto y riquísimo, opta por el timbal

Honestly I didn't understand anything on the menu, so I asked the staff for the most popular item. I got a Churipan, which tasted super good! Very friendly women behind the bar. It was quiet when I was there (weird timing), but I can imagine it being very busy at more regular eating times!
