Ice cream shop offering vegan sorbets with flavors including apple, tropical, pineapple, berries, mango and kiwifruit. Also offers vegan plain and waffles cones/cups. Reported closed November 2022.
This place is right on the main road about an hour north of Wellington. However when the new motorway opens, it won't be and you will have to come off the motorway to visit.
I prefer creamy ice cream and not fruit sorbets, but if you like fruity sorbets, this will be great for you. I had the tropical sorbet and it was fine. But as I said, I prefer creamier ice cream and not big on fruit sorbet so am not an expert on them.
The staff knew what I meant when I asked if the sorbets were vegan and they also checked the cones for me.
There are small tables and chairs so you can sit down to eat your ice cream. Please note that the surroundings are a bit run down and on a very busy road so it is not very relaxing. However it is good to be able to sit down to eat ice cream rather than eat it in the car.
All in all, if it is a hot day and you want to break up your journey to and from Wellington, it is a good place to stop for a treat and know they are vegan friendly.

Pros: wide choice of fruit sorbets, has seating, easy parking
Cons: no creamy vegan options
