Good dinner, nice atmosphere - Edit
I love second hand books so the atmosphere was really great here!
Read moreI had the silken tofu and soy meat ramen. The tofu was delicious. The ramen was really good too, although they use konjac noodles so it feels a bit less filling. The broth was super tasty.
For drinks, my friend had a beer and I tried some peach wine. I’m not an expert in alcoholic drinks but my peach wine had the biggest ice cube I’ve ever seen in my life, so I was a little disappointed at the amount I got in the end. 😂
We also wanted to try the vegan tayaki but we saw a fly walking on them the whole time we were eating so decided to skip.
I would still recommend this place if you’re at Uno port.

WOW!! - Edit
I really did not expect to eat so well on my Naoshima trip, and now I'd come back here just for this. The ramen, drinks, and taiyaki were to die for - and also the onigiri and homemade ice cream AHHH I WANNA GO BACK :D

The place has a great atmosphere. The vegan Ramen was ok, but the Taiyaki with ice cream was really excellent!

Amazing place, clearly labelled veggie options - Edit
This is a lovely second Bookshop with a bar and a short food menu. The atmosphere is really nice chill lighting and music. Staff and visitors have a nice vibe. The menu is available in English and staff speaks English too.

An ideal spot - Edit
An atmospheric hang out where great food (a small but great menu) and lovely drinks meet. A treasure by the sea.

Vegan ramen? At a book store!? - Edit
Just when I was about to starve myself at Uno and Naoshima, I stumbled across this second hand bookstore with so many good vegan options. Their vegan tan tan men was one of the best things that I’ve had in Japan. Their vegan taiyaki and soy chai were so yummy as well. On top of all the delicious food, this place is just too cute 😭😭😭

Another rare vegan option in Uno Port! - Edit
Thought this was worth an add since Uno Port can be BRUTAL for vegans - there are really only two restaurants and on a recent Sunday night both were closed and we were desperate! This cute little book cafe/bar was a find - mostly bar snacks and cakes/ice-cream but such a nice spot to sit with a wine and sweet potato chips. It's also across the road from Osakaya Dining Hall (one of the only vegan places, listed on Happy Cow) so if you want to pre-load before dinner this is your place. Friendly owner speaks English. x
