tastes like home

Multiple vegan options, clearly labelled.
The food was really tasty as well, I really recommend the vegan schnitzel with potato salad.
The vegan apfelkuchen (apple cake) was also good, though maybe a little dry but very soft at the same time

Go for the vibe

I went for afternoon tea. The menu has two vegan cakes listed but staff explained that the Sachertorte is only available to pre-order as a whole cake (!). That left the apple cake which was just fair - a bit dry and lacking the spices and lemon of the description - but generously sliced. Just as well at £7 a slice! And their 25p surcharge for non-dairy milks feels outdated 🙁

However, the comfy, unhurried vibe, the playlist and the service were all very pleasant on a cold day so it's a nice pitstop in the area.

Great!

Loved the local neighbourhood feel of this place and the hearty portions. Four vegan mains marked on the menu plus a stater and cake and a few sides. The soup of the day was cauliflower, that was tasty and the vegan schnitzel was huge, a little tough and bland for me but not too bad. The apple cake was delicious! The staff were super friendly and helpful if inattentive.

Don't sack the torte!

Traditional Austrian foods made vegan in a bustling restaurant with helpful staff. They even checked if we wanted vegan wine.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options (12), Delicious, fresh salads and pickles

Cakes!!!

The vegan cakes are amazing, definitely worth going for. The vegan Schnitzel isn’t that great though, there’s better alternatives around. Shame.
