Very few vegan options

Upscale in terms of cost. I think the chef is reputable because the restaurant has been lauded but they don’t really cater to vegans. I was holding a paper menu and asked what they would recommend for a vegan and the server crossed off everything except some broccolini that was part of a non vegan side. Then they wrote in in pencil “chef’s choice pasta.” So I had the pasta and asked them to add the broccolini to it. It was very tasty but a very small portion for the price.

Pros: Chef is a good cook

Cons: Lack of vegan options, Price

I have had two poor experiences at Kindred as a vegan-very little accommodation

Having consistent vegan options on the menu… at least one!

Pros: One vegan option - pasta with oil and mushrooms

Cons: Expensive , No menu accommodations

Fancy option

I've been here twice and only for lunch (dinner is very pricey and hard to get in), but the two experiences were wildly different. The first time was fantastic. I had this amazing seitan salad, the service was amazing, and the price was very good for the quality of food. The second time, however, was not so great. The service was still good, but the vegan options were not there. When I went to order the only seemingly vegan option the waiter told me the peas (the main protein) were cooked in animal broth. So what I ended up with was plain greens. The menu changes regularly with what's in season and locally available. I guess that means that sometimes it's a hit and sometimes a miss.

Pros: reasonable lunch prices, fancier option, great staff

Cons: inconsistent, pricey dinner
