Disappointing

This place is like any other Georgian restaurant, having some recipes which are vegan by default. The restaurant is very tiny, but it’s part of a hotel so owner speaks good English. As a vegan you have basically four main options: beans in a pot, vegetables soup, fried vegetables and potatoes in different forms. It’s not very special and you could get it in any random Georgian restaurant. I explained I cannot have milk but the Mexican potatoes were still served with a dairy-based sauce. The beans in a pot were okay but not very good, the pickled cabbage that came with the beans was surprisingly outstanding. I don’t think this place is familiar with veganism so make sure to be very clear. There are few options in this town so it’s an okay place to go, just don’t expect too much and you will be okay.

Pros: Nice pickled cabbage , English is spoken

Cons: Limited options, Need to be careful with sauces, Average quality of food

grateful for this find

The owners were so kind and provided us not only with hot and delicious vegan food but also with a place to hangout for a while, leave our bags while we visit the castle etc. We opted for pretty much all the vegan items on the menu, the bean pot and the mashed potatoes were a tad bit too salty for my taste but still delish. The veggie plate was very tasty as well as the mushroom (w/o cheese) and I also liked the Mexican potatoes!

Lovely, wholesome, and yummy!

We are so grateful to find this place. They had several vegan options, and the places run by the kindest people. We were able to leave our bags here while we went up to see the castle and even came back for a second meal. I did find their mashed potatoes and the beans in a pot both to be quite salty, but aside from that the flavors are good and we were so grateful to have a nice, hot meal. Would certainly recommend.

I wouldn’t order the veg soup again, as there what’s a vegetable in there that I didn’t really like the taste of.
