Tempura Batter Contains Eggs.

My review isn't based on the food itself but rather that people seem to be eating their sushi, with the impression that it's vegan when it isn't. One of the main reason why I dont directly ask a server to make something "vegan" is because most people don't actually know what that means. A lot of people still think that vegans eat eggs and dairy. Based on reviews on Google, it seems a lot of people are eating the tempura veggies thinking its vegan when the tempura batter contains eggs. Egg is a commonly used ingredient for tempura batters so I always ask to make sure. I just called the restaurant and they confirmed it contains eggs. Simply removing the sauces, doesn't make it vegan. You'd have to remove the tempura veggie and that makes up a majority of the roll.

I don't think this is fair to the restaurant. They didn't represent that the rolls from their vegetarian section were vegan.

@ivan420 Like I said my review wasn't based on the actual food itself. This app is about finding vegan food and people seem to think that certain items are vegan when its not. The point of my review is to bring awareness to other vegans so they dont end up accidentally eating non vegan food because I wouldn't want to. Its not a Google review so my review here isn't tarnishing anyone's reputation. But at the same time their servers are not knowledgeable about their menu items and thats a problem.

HappyCow review guidelines say: "Reviews must be based on firsthand experience". As you clearly and repeatedly state, your review is not based on the food itself or your firsthand experience, but rather on other reviewers on Google.

Educating folks about non-vegan ingredients is fine, but doing so in one-star restaurant reviews _where you aren't actually reviewing the restaurant itself_ is not the correct place to do it, according to HappyCow's own guidelines.

HappyCow. was a website and _community_ for long before apps existed. It relies on all of us to submit listings, updates, and reviews and to make a good faith effort to follow the guidelines. Your review does not. Please remove it.
