Good, not great - Edit
I met an old friend here, because he refused to meet at a vegan restaurant. We started with a sampler of 4 dips: hummus, baba ganoush, walnut pepper spread, and beet skordalia. They were all good. I thought a sampler plate would be small, but it was 4 whole appetizer portions.
Read moreI was worried that I filled up on too much pita bread and hummus. But when I saw how small the mushroom skewer entree was, I'm glad I went overboard on appetizers. Even more disappointing, the mushroom skewer was quite bland. I expected it to be marinated and grilled, but it was tasteless. The mushroom bulgur side was tasty but was too small of a portion.
Finally, the restaurant serves lamb and does not meet Happy Cow criteria.

Tapas in Hell's Kitchen - Edit
This is a cozy tapas/wine /spirits place in Hell's Kitchen, with a bunch of clearly marked vegan tapas on the menu. Since I am not into wine drinking, I am not their ideal customer. However, I was in Hell's Kitchen for a concert (like many New Yorkers, I usually steer clear on this neighborhood), so I thought I'd check this place out. I had the roasted veggies and grain bowl, and it was indeed quite good.
