Lots of healthy tasty choices

All smoothies are vegan! Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Chickpea of the sea “tuna” sandwich and chai gold smoothie are both delicious.

Great Smoothies

We stopped here for some smoothies and they were really good! We tried the Açaí Berry and the Fruity Jones.

Great healthy eats

We loved this place so much we went there for breakfast and lunch on the same day! All the smoothies are vegan and the menu gives you additional info about each smoothie's nutrition. Gluten free salads and entrees are clearly marked. Staff is super friendly.

Pros: Great breakfast and lunch options

Cons: Not much seating

The Best Caesar Salad

Stayed in Mystic for 3 days and ate there all 3 days! The best Caesar salad I’ve ever had (definitely add the carrot bakon). The Thai veggie wrap was delicious. My toddler loved the Fruity Jones smoothie. And my husband and I enjoyed the Golden Milk Latte. Someone local is going through chemo so they have a sign about her and you can donate a juice for her so we did that as well. Friendly people and delicious food!

Pros: Delicious , Pricing is fair

Cons: Service can be a bit slow at times

So cute with friendly staff

So many vegan options and ALL their smoothies are listed as vegan. We tried chick pea vegan tuna sandwich, Thai wrap and mexi-bowl. And 2 smoothies! Very good!! Definitely recommend.

Good!

I liked my food a lot, it was just a pretty small portion for the price. Partner liked their smoothie. I'd visit again to try some of the other options, but I don't think I's splurge as much knowing the portion size.

Pros: Delicious , Kind staff members, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Expensive, Smaller portions

Love this place!

Great smoothies and food. My favorites include peanut butter bomb smoothie and the Thai veggie wrap. Mostly vegan restaurants but have a couple of non-vegan items on menu

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff

Disappointed

We walked for a mile to eat here 😂 and unfortunately the granola felt cheap and sugary. Now what I expected from a health food bar.

Pros: Great sounding menu , Lots of juice options

Cons: Limited food menu, Staff unclear on ingredients , Expensive

Disappointed

My friend and ordered here today and were extremely disappointed by what we got. I ordered the peanut butter protein smoothie: it was chalky, chunky, and didn’t even taste like peanut butter. When they were finished blending it, they looked in the blender, smelt it, made a face, then continued to serve the smoothie to me. My friend, on the other hand, ordered the peanut butter and jelly smoothie, which she was dissatisfied with for the price but tasted like heaven after my disgusting smoothie.

What, yet another juice bar in Mystic?

Who can discuss Karma Kitchen without also discussing Biologic +, also in Mystic and just three blocks away? Obviously not I.

Opened July 2016, a mere four months after and three blocks away from Biologic +, it is hard to fathom how two juice and smoothie veg cafes with overlapping menus can thrive in such close proximity when just half a year earlier none whatsoever existed in Mystic . Locating a second juicery (that’s what KK calls itself) on practically the same street is bad timing, or bad luck, or bad karma. While both can thrive during congested tourist season in downtown cutesy Mystic, after Labor Day such cannibalistic competition might spell doom for one of the cafes. A higher-end Starbucks and a lower-end Dunkin’ Donuts can survive side-by-side because most Americans consume caffeine and many even worship the drug as the centerpiece to their meals. Thus both Starbucks and Drunken Donuts can flourish because of a large demand for coffee. But for juice? Bio is more esoteric because it is all organic and all raw and all vegan while KK is more populist because its fare makes no claims about organic and is not all raw and not even all vegetarian. But how many folks patronize smoothie and juice bars?

KK has more indoor seating than Bio, but KK’s molded plastic chairs are just as uncomfortable as Bio’s stools. Thus, like Bio, KK is more set up for takeout. KK’s menu is more varied and expansive than all-vegan Bio’s. KK is vegetarian except for a single chicken item and some egg on its face. Like Heirloom Food in Danielson, KK has largely bypassed the dairy barn. And KK offers many cooked items while Bio’s is mostly raw, if not all raw. So probably there is enough for KK to distinguish itself from Bio after all. And where KK surpasses Bio is in its parking. KK has its own parking lot behind its building, accessible from around both ends of the building in which it is located. And, even better, its rear entrance connects with its parking lot. Not to mention, during warmer seasons, to some outdoor picnic tables.

Oh, in case you're wondering, the solid-food dishes here are very good.

Pros: parking, more than just juice
