Great ramen - Edit
Partner had the creamy ramen and i had the red fire opal. The creamy ramen was the better of the two but both were tasty!

Great vegan ramen - Edit
I love this place! Their creamy vegan ramen is my favorite, but I love that they have added other vegan broths as well. Even my non-vegan family members agreed that the creamy vegan ramen was their favorite!

Really good ramen - Edit
I love it when I look at the menu and the vegan options are clearly marked plus there are quite a few to choose from. Ive been to other non-vegan ramen places where there is just 1 vegan broth option. So good to see 3 here. We got the Flying Vegan Harvest (I subbed tofu for impossible meat) and Vegan red Fire Opal. Both of them were very good. The Vegan red Fire Opal had a kick but not too spicy. The service was a bit slow and the ramen was not at the usual steaming hot temperature we expect from ramens. I'd go back here again and try other options as well.

Best meal I’ve had in quite some time - Edit
This is the best meal I’ve had in awhile. This place completely blew my mind.
Read moreI ordered the flying vegan harvest ramen bowl and it absolutely did not disappoint. Such a large portion and they really don’t skimp on the amount of food they give you. The chunks of impossible were so delicious and seasoned so perfectly.
The impossible gyoza were so yummy and flaky.
The impossible bun was so flavorful and had a nice sweetness to it as well.
Only cons are high prices and the staff wasn’t too attentive and it was HOT inside but we may have caught them on a rough day.
That aside, I will absolutely be back and this restaurant is being added to my top vegan finds.

Vegan spicy ramen 🍜 - Edit
I’m so happy this place exists. I crave ramen once a month and I love hitting up this spot. The spicy vegan ramen broth is so flavorful! I’m always adding extra toppings like bamboo slices, mushrooms and bak choy. Im maybe one of the few who do not like tofu so I’m always subbing that out. Did I say the broth was delicious?

The BEST Vegan Ramen - Edit
I would give the Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen a 5. But sadly, happy cow will only let me rate this place a 4. They do however have 12 vegan items on their menu (listed as vegan), so they are super vegan friendly.
Read moreI have tried SO many vegan ramens (and many ramens before I went vegan)- in Vancouver Canada & the surrounding cities, Tokyo Japan, LA and have tried a few so far here in San Jose.
I personally like rich and creamy ramens...so far nothing beats Jinya’s Spicy creamy vegan ramen. It’s SO flavourful, creamy, rich, nicely seasoned, well balanced with a little bit of spice from the chili oil.
The thick yellow noodles (somehow vegan) are always delicious. Nicely cooked everytime with that nice chewiness when you bite into them. Not soggy, not too hard. So good.
I tried the other vegan ramens (Flying vegan harvest, Vegetable soup ramen and the limited time veg ramens) offered at Jinya and they still didn’t compare to the spicy creamy vegan ramen. Even non-vegans love this broth and order it but add some type of protein they like. My mom, sister and best friend all LOVE this ramen - none of them are vegan. They said it was better than their non vegan ramen they ordered.
I’ve had this ramen many times in DT Vancouver and it always came with spinach but in San Jose it comes with kikurage aka wood ear instead. I personally prefer the big mound of spinach over the kikurage but still - the broth and noodles are incredibly delicious so it’s fine.
We also had the vegan tacos, which were seasoned soy meat, avocado, cilantro in a fried taco shell and they were very tasty.
I’ve yet to have a better vegan ramen and it’ll be pretty exciting if I do. I’m on a mission to find one that beats it...seems pretty bleak so far. Until then, this still ranks as my #1 favorite vegan ramen. Jinya’s spicy creamy vegan ramen.

Extremely good vegan ramen - Edit
It's so hard to find vegan ramen. Most of them have a traditional pork broth, but I think we've found a winner!
Read moreJINYA has marketed a full segment of their menu for vegans and loads of the regular menu is also vegetarian or customisable. (Please see the photo I posted of part of the menu).
Please note, that as the menu states, all fried vegetarian foods use the same equipment and oil as meat based products. This didn't worry us too much, as there are plenty of other things to choose from that aren't fried. We certainly didn't miss out.
Our party included vegans and non vegetarians and everyone enjoyed their meals. The vegans at the table tried different starters and ramen bowls, one customised to suit dietary requirements, and there were no complaints. There were leftovers to take home.
Accessibility is reasonable but not amazing. There are no stairs into the restaurant and the great thing is, staff are willing to accommodate however they can to help. Accessible arking is right outside, but very hard to get.
We will definitely go back again, however.
Pros: Enough vegan options to have plenty of choice.
Cons: No vegan desserts. A bit cramped and busy.
