Don’t expect it to knock your socks off, but definitely hit the spot after miles and miles of walking. I had the OG BETR BRGR with fries and an Oreo shake. While it may not be anything special, it definitely gives that greasy American burger feel that is often not found in vegan food. Also be prepared for a very small seating area.

Lacking Flavor - Edit
We were so excited about Jerrell’s but found it to be lacking flavor. We wanted the loaded chili fries but they were out. We each ordered the OG Betr and agreed it was lacking in flavor. We ordered a chocolate milkshake and the employee kindly gave us an extra which we were so appreciative of because it was a 95 degree day when we were there. Milkshakes also needed more flavor - they almost tasted vanilla. Cool spot but needs improvement in terms of flavor.

i was confused as to why a burger with one patty would be billed as a 'small' one. turns out it is laughably thin (not pictured) - maybe a 1/3 of the kind that's available in retail. but price for the small one is $9.50, so fair enough.
Read morethe burger itself was not impressive given that they specialize in it - it tasted like something I'd expect at a non-vegan place that offers an 'impossible'/'beyond' option. the fries were good.
the sitting space is very limited (4 tables) and all are located in a semi-enclosed veranda (?) that has little fresh air and gets pretty hot.
the wait time was surprisingly long, especially because it was not busy at all

Eaten a lot of vegan burgers in my time and these are hands down the best. Juicy, nice char , well seasoned, good bun. The oat milk shakes are great as well. Think you could “fool” someone here - they would not know it’s vegan. Thanks Jerrell!

I found this place on instagram under a “top 10 vegan burgers” post and had to put it on my places to try list. The guy that rang us up was very sweet but our order was missing toppings (where were the onions?!) and they were out of chili for the loaded fries. They did give us “free” fries to compensate (offered to refund the chili fries as well but that didn’t happen). They also didn’t have the advertised souvenir mug (nbd really). All in all the best part of the meal was the fries. Not to say the burger wasn’t good, I’ve just had better. If I did go back it would be to get an oat shake since I didn’t get one this time.

This was the soggiest and most unappetizing burger that I've had. The waffle fries were cold and flavorless. Potatos are supposed to have a flavor, fries arent supposed to taste like nothing. And lemme tell you, the pineapple milkshake was my total breaking point. It was the final straw.. it ruined my day fr. It tasted like and had the consistency of watery pineapple barista syrup squirted straight into a cup. It was way too strongly concentrated and too sweet, with no milkshake consistency.What's going on here?!

Jerrell's did not disappoint and might of even been the best vegan burger I've ever had! Unfortunately the night I went there they didn't have fries, but we were able to get two lil burgers and one strawberry shake! Limited menu, but honestly for the best. Didn't get overwhelmed with what to order. Small amount of seating, just a few tables and chairs and some standing tables.

Fun late night option for simple, well assembled fast food. Burger buns/toppings taste as fresh as can be expected. Nice additional menu items, like chili with Impossible crumble. Can't speak to the ice cream or shakes; will try in the summer. This is truly a food stand -- you order and pay contactless through a window, and pick up food at second window. There are only a handful of tables, and they're outside.

WOW! Literally the best burger I have ever eaten! We ordered the super burger, which comes with chilli! Sadly there were no fries or waffle fries, which was disappointing! We also ordered a second burger to go as we loved it so much, and they ran out of chilli! But still absolutely loved it the second time even without the chilli. We also got the cookies and cream shake, which was also a 10/10! Will defo be back before we leave NYC!
