Fancy and environment-friendly - Edit
The concept is really interesting and admirable. The food looks fancy and the staff is nice. I ate a vegan beetroot risotto, and it was tasty. It is a pity the branch in the Hague closed.

We ate here twice in one day - Edit
This restaurant is located around the corner from our hotel, but it was not the convenience that brought us here twice— the delicious food and amazing concept (they serve ‘rescued’ food from markets and shops). The lunch menu was different from dinner and my husband and I had a ‘cheat’ vegetarian meal (pumpkin & mushrooms croquettes made with breadcrumbs ) They were out of fish at the time— so essentially the entire menu was vegetarian. Dinner you choose between different dishes (all sides— no main/starters —about half the dishes were vegan or vegetarian— each arrived separately and there is an explanation of how it was made by a knowledgeable staff member, including the chef. We had a string bean dish and a curried cauliflower dish that were out of this world. They really know how to take a simple (too small to go to market) vegetable and make it taste and feel like fine dining.

Cons: Vegan items were not clearly marked

Comfort food in a pretty place with a great initiative behind! - Edit
The menu has just a few options and they are not all vegan or vegetarian. Since they cook with ingredients that otherwise would be wasted, I think the menu varies quite a lot. I love the fact that they turn food surplus into delicious food. I went for the bulgur with roasted vegetables in a yummy dressing and I completely loved it. Proper comfort food right here. The staff was super friendly and efficient in their service.
Read moreThe inside of the restaurant is so pretty and with so much natural light. There is also some tables outside for those who want to soak up some vitamin D (when the sun allows for it). I would want to come back for sure.
On the wall they have how many kilos of food they have rescued, which really makes you think how much food could be wasted. I love to support transparent businesses that are trying to do better for the planet and this is for sure one of them.
Pros: Great service , Delicious food, A really pleasant atmosphere
