Great Appetizers, Okay Entrees - Edit
We arrived and the dining room was beautifully clean, staff was very friendly, we were seated quickly. We ordered cocktails & an appetizer (Lettuce Wraps), very well made.
Read moreThe entrees arrived, my partner had the Penang Curry which he said was delicious. I had the Broccoli Tofu Stir-fry which arrived with no sauce whatsoever, just cooked in oil, not even any soy sauce.
This is important because the appetizer had hoisin sauce and my entree was supposed to also have it. Apparently there are two different hoisin sauces, so make sure to ask them to add some vegan sauce.
Overall, I was impressed with the selection of vegan dishes and the staff were great and very apologetic about the mix up for sauces.

Spicy Eggplant and Tofu - Edit
I enjoyed my dinner. Very tasty. A bit more oil than I am used to, but that is part of what made it so tasty.

They understand vegans - Edit
Clearly marked menu items that were vegan or could easily be made vegan, great flavor in the dancing Buddha tofu, drunken noodles, and cashew chicken (tofu)

Nice place - Edit
The place looked really nice from the inside. A lot of dishes can be made vegan. They are all marked in the menu. The vegan orange chicken (made with tofu) was really good and flavorful. There's no rice with the tofu, but we ordered the mango rice. The portions are really big.

Not a destination eatery - Edit
The food is decent but overpriced for what you’re getting. The interior is beautiful. A fine place for a first date (for the ambiance) or group dinner, but not some place you would return to as a first choice.

Fun, fancy, tasty - Edit
The staff definitely know their stuff about veganism. Our waitress was able to tell us exactly how they veganize all the dishes - down to substituting out any fish oil. There are lots of vegan and gluten free options but they change around some of the menu items quite a bit to make them vegan (i.e. chicken spring rolls turn into tofu lettuce wraps). The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was upscale and fun but overall it was a little bit pricey and pretty standard Asian food. I was happy with the experience but might not be back for a while to give my wallet a break (:

Cons: Expensive, They sub out everything for tofu - nothing fancy

Vegan/Vegetarian friendly, Bring your wallet - Edit
This place is very vegan/vegetarian aware. Food is good and helpings are reasonable. Being on Pacific near the heart of Tacoma's downtown district, expect to pay for that luxury. The decor is wonderful and always busy when you'd expect.

Cons: Pricey, Busy, Parking can be a challenge
