Can be excellent when you get served - Edit
I’ve been a few times and my experience has varied from non-existent (when I didn’t get served and left) to almost excellent. The food has been very good - I’ve had a very tasty Pad Thai and Ikaro Salad - although they were a little bit on the small side. The brownie was very substantial and packed with nuts (but a bit dry). The second time I had the Pad Thai it was much bigger and fantastic, as was my girlfriend’s African Chickpea Curry. We also had Margaritas which were out of this world! Shame the starters and the main turned up at the same time 😂. Worth a visit if you can live with the variable service and it being ‘hipster and overpriced.’’ A big plus is that they open on a Sunday when many other places that do vegan food are closed.

Buen lugar, algo costoso - Edit

Menu sounds better than it tastes - Edit
This restaurant is a hippie-ish place with lots of interesting sounding dishes. Sadly, the food is pretty bland and the service is a little disorganised. The coffee is quite good though.

Absolutely delicious, yet pricey for Colombian standards - Edit
I got this place recommended by a friend, and I must admit that after spending time in La Guajira desert I was more than happy to get such colourful, fresh food! I had the banana and cacao smoothie which was absolutely delicious, and as a main the Rainbow salad. The salad had tons of fresh veggies, the dressing was amazing, but you should ask for extra! The falafels were tiny though. I finished it off with a cold brew with almond milk, which was on point. The place in iself has an amazing atmosphere, the staff was lovely and I wish I could stay longer in Santa Marta, as I wanted to try everything on the menu. Only con is that it is indeed pricey for Colombian standards, and I did expect a bit more falafels for the price of this salad. Yet if I would order food of this quality in a fancy café in North America, price would at least be double. I will however go back for brekkie tomorrow!

Decent restaurant with nice interior setting. - Edit
This restaurant was really nice. Lots of vegan options for mains and dessert. (MUST TRY THE HOT BROWNIE) Pasta dish and the pad Thai were delicious. Great location and the interior design is really nice. They also play nice calming music. Only con is the price is can be quite expensive around 28,000 per main meal. Also DO NOT get the Vietnamese rolls they have no flavour and just literally a salad in rice paper!

It was ok - Edit
Really nice atmosphere and decor. Staff very nice but service was quite slow and not the most amazing food. Quite expensive and not great value. We had burrito which was nice and Vietnamese rice paper rolls which were very bland. We complained and got a free dessert. Had lemon poppy cakes which were more like a bread. Lots to choose from so we probably just got unlucky

Amazing atmosphere, decent vegan food - Edit
Really amazing, cozy atmosphere. Spent almost the whole day here, reading and listening to an audio book. I had a tofu and mushroom soup and an iced matcha latte with coconut milk which were quite good. Later I had an unexpectedly huuuge slice of banana bread accompanied by some pistachio ice cream and Chai tea with almond milk. The Banana bread was a bit dry and the Chai a bit heavy in black tea... So all in all, I'd say it's quite decent. Lots of vegan options!

My best vegan meal in Santa Marta thus far - Edit
Excellent cafe with many vegan choices as well as several gluten free options (only marked on menu as without wheat so be careful as some of the marked items did contain soy sauce and other gluten containing ingredients!). Portions were loaded with fresh vegetables.

Excellent espresso drinks, good vegan food, and even vegan ice cream! The space is eclectic and relaxing with large mattresses to lie down on and an indoor waterfall. There are also board games provided.

Tasty lunch - Edit
I came for lunch and had a hummus, sundried tomato and avocado sandwich, and a smoothie. I was first disappointed because they ran out of strawberries for the smoothie, they replaced it with blueberries and once it arrived i had no complaints!! it was really really delicious. I also can't fault my sandwich. You could tell it was fresh bread, the hummus was delicious and creamy with plenty of sesame. I was really happy with everything. Service was good and quick. Prices aren't cheap but compared with other restaurants in the area not bad at all. Thanks Ikaro! I'll be back 😊

Staff is only as friendly as necessary - Edit
I ate a vegan burrito and a brownie. The burrito was delicious but the brownie should have come with vegan ice cream. With no word they served me the brownie only and it tasted more like sweetened paper. On the bill it did not cost me as much as the brownie with ice-cream, but it was written gluten free brownie, which confused me. Was it vegan at all when they serve it differently and it's not the same name on the bill? I wished at least the staff would have apologized for example that they run out of ice cream or what ever was the matter... But absolutely no information.
Read moreThe ambience is welcoming and invites to stay longer for chatting or working. The staff is only as friendly as necessary. When I came back on my last night and sat down, they showed no reaction. I finally went to asked and they told me that the kitchen is already closed, as if it were common knowledge.
On the other hand the menu cards are very well signed with green leaves for vegan dishes and red peppers for spicy dishes.

Beware of honey! - Edit
The menu is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great BUT some items marked vegan aren’t actually vegan. According to my server, the owner is ‘vegan’ but consumes honey. Some ‘vegan’ menu items contain honey. You’ll need to confirm with the server whether an item is actually vegan or not. Frustrating.

Slow service but tasty food - Edit
Once you are seated, you might feel a little ignored. There was a mixup with the drink I ordered the first time I came. The food came I thought it was going to be a soup but there was a small bowl of soup and a big tray of sliced mango and quinoa which was a bit bland. The soup was nice but there wasn’t very much of it. It was also very hot and burnt my mouth. I tried to order the vegan ice cream but apparently their freezer is broken so they can’t have it but it is still on all of their menus. The place was full of backpackers and I don’t think any Colombians eat in this place. It was a nice water feature renovation that they had but feels kind of like a backpackers hostel rather than a nice café. The Second time we came, we had the Mexican burrito which was probably the best thing we’ve eaten in Santa Marta. They don’t except credit cards and there was a problem getting change on both occasions.

Delicious, wholesome food in lovely ambiente - Edit
We had the best vegan meals here, which came opulent and perfectly seasoned and spiced. Slightly more expensive than your standard almuerzo but worth every peso. Especially considering that ingredients are organic and local(: The place is super inviting, with nice music and a calming little wall waterfall. Came here twice and would have continued coming if we stayed longer in santa Marta- also cause we still haven't exhausted their many vegan options, with varieties for every gusto. Rrrrriquissimo!

We went there to eat the vegan ice cream and a brownie. Unfortunately they were out of the ice cream, which we heard seems to be pretty tasty. The vegan brownie was very tasty. The other deserts seemed pretty tasty too. The prices are ok but definitely made for tourists.
