Not the best experience - Edit
Ate here once and had a bit meh experience. The people working there are lovely and the food was okay, but left more to be desired.
Read moreWe ordered two mojitos and the alcohol/rum they had used had a very distinctive (and not nice) flavour which kinda ruined them. Kinda tasted like cachaça so not sure if they used that instead of rum.
Our waitress was sweet but didn't seem to know the menu very well and actually took our order wrong. I wanted to have Aloo gobi (with potato and cauliflower) but got got a curry that was supposed to be Aloo Baingan (eggplant and potatos). This was a dish I never had before so instead of having to wait for them to remake the correct dish I accepted the "mistake dish". The dish was... Ok. There was only one small piece of potato and rest was mushy eggplant. I googled the dish and it didn't look anything like it was "supposed to" and it was more like en eggplant dip. The flavour was ok but by the end of the dish I was pretty sick of the consistency.
Also, at the beginning of ordering I asked if I could just have some plain rice but the served informed the rice has butter in it and if I'd like to have (vegan) puri or naan instead. I was very excited about the puri so happily ordered that. After some while she came back and informed they had some butter-free rice and if we'd like that. We said yes we will also share one portion but also that we'd take the puri (and naan that my companion ordered) as well. When the food came out we had both one portion of rice, no puri and two naans (one portion) to share which was disappointing.
We didn't see a single Indian person working here (we also saw one of the chefs) so maybe that should have been a warning sign.

It’s a relatively new restaurant in town and such a welcome addition to the scene. One of the only places where you can get a veggie dish. Their homemade hot sauce is THE BEST. Very spicy meals!
