Mac’n’cheese and cheezesteaks are fab! - Edit
A great addition to the already burgeoning Hackney vegan scene! Run by the people from Haunt in Stoke Newington, this place has a relaxed atmosphere, great selection of drinks and amazing food from Jakes Vegan Steaks. The funghi & truffle cheezesteak and the classic sarnie are delicious, as is the mac’n’cheese and their fries. Great service too - always warm and friendly!

We had a great lunch here. They have amazing home made seitan and almost home made everything. The cheese flavours were amazing! I can highly recommend this place 🤤

Great sandwiches - Edit
Cocktails are very nice, the sandwiches are very good, although the seitan could be less chewy, all together with the sauses and cheese tastes good... This is a casual place, the service is ok it could be better, youll enjoy the food and get pretty messy but you will have a good sandwich that's for sure

Literally the best breakfast sandwich. Randomly stumbled past and they kindly hooked me up with a takeout. Damn it’s good. Will 100% be going back to try more ASAP...

Great food! Awesome place- the heart of Hackney - Edit
Ok so I may be biased. But rarely does somebody impress me as much as Jake (Jake's Vegan Steaks). There's plenty on offer for Vegans all over London but many of these spots are apologetic and bland, eager to fit in, un inventive, and/or unable or unwilling to adapt to the ever changing market and customer habits. Jake's Vegan Steaks is an exemption to this rule- Jake's food is completely made from scratch and extremely inventive. Flavours are bold, and the menu is stylistic in its approach, I don't think you can get this offering elsewhere, its completely unique to London and well worth a try.
