Decent Indian restaurant with clearly labelled Vegan options - Edit
 great experience at Holy Diwali there was a very nice choice of curries. We had a mushroom curry and a kidney bean curry. Everything was clearly labelled Vegan. Good service kid friendly.

Unfortunately not what I ordered - Edit
I ordered three papadams (1€ each) and aloo gobi (10€) plus rice (3.70€). The aloo gobi was described as ‘in curry sauce,’ which is why I chose it. What I got was a version with tomatoes, which was certainly well made, but unfortunately not what I had ordered. The tomatoes were too dominant for my taste and it obviously wasn't curry sauce. In addition to the £3 for the papadams, there was an extra £3 for a ‘pickle tray’ on the bill. It doesn’t kill me but I just don't like it when I'm served something I didn't ask for and then charged for it. Additionally, one of the sauces wasn't vegan. I sent it back untouched right away.

Not to miss in Sagres! - Edit
Holi Diwali is a vegan paradise. So much variety and choice. The veggie options are very extensive and many of them are vegan or can be made vegan. Even dishes like korma and masala that are usually very dairy heavy can be veganised. Also ordered garlic naan and a mango lassi which was a real treat. Would give 5 stars if possible.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Sagres and would definitely recommend it! Food was delicious, naan was great, a large menu with many clearly labeled vegan options.
Read moreThe wait was quite long during our first visit seeing as there wasn't a lot of staff, however on our next visit the service was much faster!
We could also tell that there were other people returning to eat here a second time!

Plenty of vegan main dishes, including some of the starters. Naan bread could be veganised. Great taste. Fast service. Staff was knowledgable about veganism. Average prices.

We went for dinner and loved it here. We had lots of different options. We were spoiled for choice. We ordered a lot and enjoyed everything. Their pakora and dahl in particular we're great! It was exceptionally good value for food! The service was also great. We did go back for lunch but thought the vegan options were not so good at the lunch buffet.
