Falafel wrap - Edit
I enjoyed a delicious falafel wrap here. The falafel was well seasoned and not dry. The tahini sauce was on point! I definitely recommend!

Top Tier Mediterranean in Atlanta - Edit
While exploring Atlanta's Brookhaven neighborhood, we stumbled across Hovan Mediterranean Gourmet - a great find right outside Blackburn Park.
Read moreEven on a Monday in the middle of the day, the restaurant was full of customers. The owner was working the counter and so ready to share how vegan-friendly his menu was.
I ended up with quite a few dishes and to be honest - all were incredible. My main was the falafel sandwich with a homemade hot sauce. It was easily one of the best falafel sandwiches I have had in Atlanta.
However, it was the sides that really took this place to another level. All the staff was able to clearly identify which sides were vegan (which was most of them) and how they were prepared.
The sides were delicious. I ordered the cauliflower salad, Armenian eggplant dip, and grape leaves. I also was able to try the split pea soup. The restaurant does a great job of blending many of the iconic flavors of the Middle East to create a variety of dishes making a great repeat dining destination for vegan and non-vegan diners.
Pros: Vast Vegan Options, Knowledgable and Welcoming Staff, Great Location

Best Falafel and Vegan Side Options 😍 - Edit
The food was so good. I got the vegan roll with lentil salad and potato salad, loved every bite. Husband got the falafel sandwich with cauliflower salad and dolmas.
Read moreThe falafel is so savory and not over fried, just a very nice light crispness with so much flavor.
The vegan roll is nice and light, hummus and tabbouleh wrapped up with some lettuce and your choice of sauces. I absolutely loved it.
All 3 salads we had were packed with flavor and the dolmas were great, as well.
Do yourself a favor and say yes to their hot sauce ❤️
Pros: Lots of vegan sides; 9 counted today, Falafel is best I’ve had, vegan roll also great, Very affordable, so damn delicious
Cons: The parking lot is a little hinky, No vegan dessert options

Great hovan sandwich - Edit
I had the vegan hovan sandwich but added avocado to it. On the side I had a lentil salad. Good variety of flavors. I loved the vinegar taste.

I’ve loved this place for 35 years - Edit
Way back when, the restaurant was situated in the food court of the mall I wandered as a teen. I wasn’t vegan at the time, but they were one of the few places in the mall that offered a vegetarian option.
Read moreThey are in a strip mall now, and their sides and vegan wrap are still divine. My favorite baba ghanouj, bar none, and the roasted cauliflower are the standouts. During the summer they also make a delicious gazpacho. I miss it when they switch to fall soups. However, they always have at least one vegan soup too.
Pros: fresh, delicious food , always several vegan options from which to choose, medium wrap, 2 sides, and a drink under $12
Cons: They serve gyros and the meat tower is on display
