We started off with seaweed salad, grilled unagi nigiri (eel) and natto nigiri (fermented soy). The salad is a decades long obsession of mine, but I've never had eel or natto before. (Which is why I chose them.) The eel was sweet with teriyaki and meaty. The natto was bitter, but balanced with soy sauce and rice.
A sharing plate of maki for our middle course. Ours was tuna, salmon and avocado. It was DELICIOUS! Even the nori was better than any I've ever had. The wasabi was freshly made, not rammed with horseradish and it was LIFE CHANGING! 🤤
For our main we had the lunch special bento box, one with tempura veg and the other with teriyaki fish. We saw lots of people come in for these whilst we were there and who can blame them? They were a DELIGHT!
The menu is extensive and you will need to go back again and again to even try 25% of it. (Maybe that's the idea? 😂🫣)
We'll definitely be back!

Came here for lunch after a workshop close by and it was brilliant. Staff were friendly and the food was sooo good! Me and my sister shared everything. We had the chick*n skewers and salt and pepper oyster mushrooms to start, both phenomenal! For mains we had the tofu katsu and the tempura don both really tasty too. Unfortunately they were out of vegan desserts but we were stuffed! Really enjoyed it here, can't wait to visit again!

We eat here regularly as it’s local, every single time the food and service is excellent! The chef has trained in Japan so if you love sushi this is by far the best you’ll ever eat. Noodles are fantastic too.

This restaurant has been open for 5 weeks. We went for a family birthday celebration and it was excellent. The menu is superb. So much choice and great recommendations from the staff. We are 4 out of 5 vegetarians in the family. Everything is very clearly marked and great to have so much choice. Our meat eater was happy too! Honestly the best meal out for years - predict this will be a huge hit in Chepstow - good luck to them 🍀

Definitely worth a visit. Food was delicious and big main portions! I’m the only vegan but everyone enjoyed their food, tbf they couldn’t tell the difference and kept double checking it was vegan🤣 100% would go back again. 👏🏼
