Read moreI came across your review on HappyCow while searching for our brand name today, and would like to clarify a few things from the perspective of the owner of HATSIM.
As previously discussed in our message, we were misled by a product from Rich’s labeled as “non-dairy” and “plant-based,” which we later found out may still contain casein. I myself was unaware and became a victim of that misleading labeling. Once we realized the issue, we immediately stopped using that product and replaced it with our own house-made, 100% vegan and soy-free alternative.
Additionally, we want to reaffirm that none of our jelly or boba toppings have ever contained gelatin, beeswax, or carmine. We understand how important ingredient transparency is, and we have always taken that seriously.
Since June 2025, we fully guarantee that all HATSIM products are 100% plant-based.
This incident has helped us tighten our ingredient sourcing and labeling process. We take full responsibility for not identifying the misleading label earlier and have since corrected the issue.

The salted cashew cream coffee is the nicest coffee I’ve had whilst travelling for the past 2 months and probably ever. We ordered sweet and the salty/sweet combo was delicious. Ordered on grab and cost less that £2.50 for 2 coffees

This is the most awesome coffee I've had in Vietnam. The salted cashew cream coffee is so damn good, it made me come back the same day to try another drink.

Delicious vegan coffee!! - Edit
I was searching for a place that offers vegan Vietnamese-style coffee, and HATSIM completely exceeded my expectations! The cashew milk salted cream coffee is one of the best coffee drinks I have ever had. I was so close to ordering another because the cashew cream was so delicious. The different varieties of nut milk looked tasty too. I have never seen that many offered anywhere else. The place is small but it was very nice to sit outside street-side in a really cute neighborhood. And the employee working was really kind as well. Highly recommend!
