Not awful but won't return

We were visiting the area and found a few chain restaurants near our hotel with vegan options and settled on this Harvester as they had a Mediterranean tart that sounded nice.

My husband had the beyond meat burger, said it was fine. I ordered the tart but it was essentially a pastry bowl, too hard to actually eat, filled with a med veg stew. They did have a vegetarian tart I saw come out to another table and that looked like what I was expecting so they should perhaps rename the vegan tart, it was disappointing but I ate the veg with chips so I was full.
We had hot apple pie and ice cream for dessert, which was nice they also have vegan custard available.

As a restaurant, it's a harvester so expect loud groups, kids everywhere and for the staff to be a bit rushed. The service was really friendly, and prices were reasonable.

Tldr: Wouldn't return but not a bad burger/dessert

Pros: Vegan options, Clear allergen menu , Friendly staff

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid

Tried to give me garlic bread with a vegan breakfast because "muffins had been taken off the menu" but other people had muffins. Raw, warm sausages. 4 tiny mushrooms rest was awful. Staff lovely though. And the wallpaper...

Avoid

Very bad attitude from staff and management towards Veganism, got told by the manager I couldn't have toast with my breakfast as it has butter in it?!? Pretty sure a manager should know Thier business better than this. Vegan breakfast is half the size of "normal" breaky and more expensive, Harvester just making money rather than caring.

Pros: Options, although not alot

Cons: Staff don't care, Lack of knowledge on Veganism

Good vegan breakfast

Stopped by after seeing they now offer vegan breakfast (and unlimited at that) - no real complaints, tasty food and it’s all cooked fresh to order to make people think about how much they want and reduce food waste which is the better way to do it (than a buffet) in my opinion.

The menu choices for vegans now vs a year or more ago are day and night. A waitress was even telling us how they’ve used some vegan food to simplify their need for multiple options (eg using a vegan burger sauce for all burgers). Well done Harvester, we’ll be back to sample the main menu.
