This is our go to restaurant even with our meat eating friends and family. The food is amazing, staff are friendly and we are never disappointed.

Favourite vegan restaurant in Edinburgh - Edit
Can't recommend this restaurant enough for vegans. Have gone several times now and have never had a bad meal. Would definitely recommend their chicken parm and also their surf and turf deal is amazing! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere too

I have visited Harmonium twice now, and I will be back again for sure. It has such an exciting menu - lots of choice and all vegan! The mushroom scallop style dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend!

I had no-fish and chips with a pint of lager. Might not sound something very fancy but, I think it was one of the most delicious meal I've ever had. Staff were nice. There are loads of choices.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Harmonium before as I come here pretty often! They have amazing food and drinks on their menu, particularly the weekend brunch menu, an amazing ambiance and very helpful and friendly staff. One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh!

I had a lovely meal at Harmonium. The staff were friendly and helpful, unfortunately their fryer wasn’t working but I was told what wasn’t available and was given options and alternatives which weren’t on the menu but could be substituted. Food was delicious and I hope to be back to try some of the other dishes soon!

Amazing Leith vegan restaurant/pub. 100% vegan menu and allergens descriptions. You can choose from different cuisines. They have pizzas, more original foods, burger, macarony with cheese, etc... I believe that this place is perfect for friendly chat with some beer or drinks.
Read moreI had “Meatballs” with cheese and sauce and it was amazing! I visited many places, but this is definitely one of the best. Their food is super good! I tried their burger too (my gf had one) and it was so good! They have their own “meat” inside burger which makes burger special. I can only recommend for something to eat, or just sit down for a beer with friends.

Acutally a small bar-like restaurant with a medium sized variety of ALL vegan stuff. You can easily bring you non-vegan folks, as they serve things like pizza, spagetti & meatballs, "turkey", etc. Staff was super nice, food was super good and we had the option to donate some money to Christmas for Homeless People, which I think is amazing. I just think the place is a bit expensive and you really have to book a table in advance. Other than that - simply amazing💗

Love the venue. Portions are huge, too large for my ramen living fella to be able to finish. Unfortunately my banana blossom fysh was too greasy for me. We’d both like to visit again though to give them another try just because it’s such a nice place.

Pleasant venue and service, great menu. Large cocktail and drinks menu, and a special drink of the day. Several local and world beers, including two (local) resident taps. I definitely want to try their mac-and-cheese, but on my first visit I had the pho bowl, which was delicious and satisfying and had just the right amount of spiciness: noodles, edamame beans, red cabbage, broccoli, fresh basil, tasty miso sauce, topped with toasted sesame seeds. A very good meal for £10.75. Another time, I had the pizza with haggis, potato, rocket, caramelized red onion, cheese - great! Also on the menu are fish-n-chips, a quarter pounder with your choice of toppings, soup of the day and many other interesting items. Great fries (chips), sprinkled with nooch and rock salt, served with aioli. Desserts include hot apple and cinnamon spring rolls with orange syrup and caramelised walnuts (delicious!), served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If I lived nearby, I would be eating here often!

I loved Harmonium so much that a lot of other food I’ve eaten since has come off worse! A really cosy wee place with friendly staff and a fully vegan menu. It was a bit boggling- I wanted to eat everything! I had the pho which was really good, loved the seitan. The star was the sweet spring rolls- apple and cinnamon and so good. Both cocktails I had were lovely and overall just a super experience.

We had an amazing dinner here last night. We had the scallops, lentil pate, macaroni cheese, truffle oil chips, no-fish and chips, chicken burger, grilled artichokes, the cinnamon spring rolls and a sundae and all of it was delicious. The pate was probably our least favourite but only because the garlic in it was very strong. It looked beautiful however with colourful veg and orange garnish. We recommend absolutely everything and wish the surf n turf was also available on other days (it’s only available on Tuesdays)

Really excellent food, so much choice and all really yummy. The burger tastes like a proper dirty burger. I couldn’t tell the difference with real meat (which is a bit scary!). Nice surroundings and friendly staff.

Read moreThere was a good selection of options on the menu, though the restaurant itself was dirty in places i.e. food stuck to sticky tables, dirty cutlery, crusty menus, etc.
The beer we ordered was flat but the rest of the drinks were nice.
The food, however, was great, well presented and tasted lovely.
Sorry to say the staff appeared disinterested and abrupt - none of them looked happy to be there!
Overall, we'll go back and give it one more try as the food was great. Just hope it's a friendlier welcome next time!

I ate the bensonhurst pizza, it was delicious. I'd avoid getting the chilli salt fries because I didn't know what five spice was and it turns out I don't like it. Great selection of food and beer, including vegan cask ale!!! Lovely place inside, helpful waiters.
