A new bright vegetarian star in the sky - Edit
New vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona, opened in mid-October 2014. The place is beautifully decorated and even one wall contains a famous quote from Albert Einstein on vegetarianism.
Read moreWe enjoyed a delicious cream of pumpkin, tofu skewer with couscous and a lentil burger with vegetables and breaded eggplant. There is always one vegan option for starter, main course and dessert.
The daily menu is not in English but the staff, who are very friendly, will guide you through it.
All dishes were very good, looks like we have a new restaurant in the city that aspires to earn a good place among the crowded vegetarian scene in Barcelona.

Though always happy to find a vegetarian, menu at night is rather limited (burgers, falafel and little more). We went for the burgers, all of them also as vegan option, which were ok, though i don t understand why you would have the bun not toasted, specially if there are only 2 more guests to attend. Falafel consisting of only 4 falafel balls and sauce at appr 5 euro seems a bit odd and unnecessary - a little salad added would cost them pennies....
Read moreThey were friendly, though it´s not nice to let you stand at the counter waiting to pay for 5 minutes. Might be cool and relaxed, as the guy was watching a football game, but if you stand there and wait and you have to catch your train, it doesn´t feel cool, but annoying and rude....
i felt there is plenty of room for improvement, and i really would feel happy to see vegetarian/vegan places strive... it´s in all of our interest.

Burger was pretty flavorless and greasy, juice watered down, expensive, and ambiance feels artificial (waiting room background music and images of flowing water on a TV screen)

Another place discovered by complete chance back in Nov 2014. This is becoming a habit, but a good one. Posted it straight to Happy Cow to alert the world. This is a big vegetarian player, with extensive vegan choice. The good old menu of the day makes an appearance here at a fixed rate of €12.50 but you can buy courses separately as desired. On a return visit in November 2015 for a fair €15.95 you can get a starter e.g. buffalo tomatoes stuffed with bulgur wheat, main course e.g. vegetable curry or lasagne and a soft or alcoholic drink of your choice plus a desert or coffee. I would say vegan / vegetarian choice is 50:50. It's quite plush inside, they've obviosuly spent a lot on the shopfitting budget but this doesn't necessarily equate to similar rumblings in the kitchen. The branding is eye-catching and quite enticing to the passer by. It most certainly has an important part to play in the effervescent Barcelona veggie scene. This is an exciting city on the animal free dining front. However, I'm not sure this would be Fonze's first choice were he vegetarian.

Excellent -- one of our best meals in Barcelona - Edit
We were hesitant about trying this restaurant, based on previous reviews, but decided to go for it since it was near our hotel. We were SO glad we did. The food was very fresh, seemed to be prepared from scratch. The warm multigrain bread to start was amazing. I had a vegan lentil and apple curry that was perfectly spiced, creamy, and satisfying. My non-veg husband loved the spinach lasagne.

Jolie trouvaille que ce resto vegan et végétarien. Mes plats véganes m'ont séduits et les plats végétariens ont conquis le carnivore qui me tenait compagnie. Seul bémol, l'unique dessert végane du soir: le brownie au chocolat ( très chocolaté et un peu trop "sec" à mon goût) mais je recommande vivement l'endroit.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The place has a great look, and I'm sure that they probably have some things that are better than what I tried, but I wasn't too impressed with what I had... the burger was soft and mostly tasteless, though I bet some of the daily dishes may be good. Definitely worth checking out if you are staying in the area, but don't get your hopes up for the type of gourmet cuisine that the place looks like it serves.
