While inside the store my friend smacked her head into the glass door with a loud whack trying to go outside to look at more cakes. She was rattled and in tears while I tried to help but the girl working silently watched in the otherwise deserted store. Not once did we get so much of an are you okay or any reaction at all besides an extremely awkward stare as if we had come inside her store to purposely run into the door. I tried to pay and laugh and apologise for the interaction and she still said not one thing or help in any way through the whole rest of the interaction. By the end was so awkward and unfriendly I was left in awe.

That is a problem you rarely have if you're vegan and gluten-free: too many amazing options to choose from! Doughnuts are the best so we always have one but it's too tempting to buy everything. We also had a pizza to take away but I much prefer their sweet options tbh. Hanai Vegana is a mandatory stop when we're in Barcelona!

We stopped in just before closing. The lady was very helpful in talking us through potential nut allergens, and she offered samples of the doughnut. I don't know what kind of magic this bakery works, but that vegan GF doughnut tasted so much like Krispy Kreme back in the US!! Needless to say, we bought a fair amount of pastries and doughnuts for breakfast the next morning, with plans to stop on again just before departure home.
