Finally, Ethiopian Options in Tallahassee!

Food and service was excellent! We had the injera and shiro (Pureed chickpeas with Ethiopian bread appetizer) and two mushroom selassie bowls (rice, injera, gomen - collard greens, mushrooms, and a red berbere sauce). It tasted great. This is the only restaurant with Ethiopian options that I know of in Tallahassee. Ethiopian is my favorite cuisine and I have eaten at at least 40 Ethiopian restaurants throughout the US. This is not one of the best however it is a very small kitchen with just one chef so you know that you are supporting a great small, local business. The portions are a bit small but the food is very inexpensive so I recommend getting more dishes than you would think you would want and it is worth the cost. The berbere sauce was spicier than I have had at other Ethiopian places so be aware you might want plant milk if you don't do well with spice. All in all, absolutely excellent but just some good things to know in advance. I will be back to try the dishes representative of other African cuisines!

Pros: Only restaurant with Ethiopian options in Tally, Very flavorful, Inexpensive

Cons: Small portion sizes but cheap so just order more
