Not many good options in the area. Vegan It Iz might appeal to some, but its vegan-ized junk food isn't my thing. Gulzar's was serving ONLY a buffet during my Sunday mid-day visit. Fortunately, they had chickpeas, some raw vegetables and fruit. The Coconut Cabbage was okay. Mostly meat and paneer choices. Fried things. Still, I was glad they were there.

Vegan creations available - Edit
They let us create veggie combo dishes that aren’t on the menu (but with veggies that are in other dishes on the menu). They will happily make a creamy dish vegan by using coconut milk instead of dairy… or, they can hold the coconut milk too and just leave a veggie mixture (sometimes with a tomato base if that is part of the recipe)

The veggie appetizers are DELICIOUS!!
Ask for chutney - they have hot red onion one, hot/sweet pepper one and mint.

Has vegetarian section on the menu, many of the dishes can be made vegan upon request. I have had Indian food all over the US, and this was among the tastiest I have had.

Gulzar's is a fantastic addition to the downtown scene. The waiter let us know that most of the options on the Veg menu can be made vegan.
