Indian chain for South Indian food - Edit
Gulab is an Indian restaurant (and sweets) chain, a few years ago they also started to open restaurants in Kathmandu. It's a bit like Angan. All the south Indian dishes, idli, dosa, uttapam, with their variations. In the New Road area you are spoilt for choice when you want to eat dosa - there's Angan, there's Nandan, there's Rameshwaram. The latter one is less expensive though, and as good as the others in my opinion. Gulab has a nice South Indian platter though - if you're *very* hungry and can't decide between idli, dosa, uttpamam and vada.
