Really great weigh and pay place

Good choice of dishes. Come early to get things at their freshest. Dishes include potatoes, breaded aubergines, vegetable rice and noodles plus an extensive salad bar.

Varied dishes paid by weight

Very simple dinery where you either take away or eat in using plastic boxes. The vegetarian buffet includes salads, warm dishes, savoury pies and desserts. Vegan options were not marked. We only had warm dishes, of which about half were vegan (excluding all pies, for example). Some dishes were only luke warm. (There were microwaves available for reheating your food! :-o)

The pricing now works by weight for both take away (3600 ARS / kg) and eat in (4000 ARS).

Pros: Variety of options, Affordable, Local clientele

Cons: Food served in plastic boxes even for eat in, Luke warm food, Shabby venue

Worth it!

There's two options: you sit and eat as much as you want for 140 pesos or you take it away by weight for 120 pesos/kg.
Food was tasty and they had a great variety. I find it annoying when I have to ask what the vegan options are, specially in a crowded buffet with lots of options. The staff helped me out, but wasn't very happy about it. I would go back anyways, the food was worth it.

Pros: wild variety , tasty food

Cons: vegan options not identified, you gotta ask

Good food, but get there in good time too

I arrived at the restaurant at around 3:40 p.m., twenty minutes before their closing time, thinking I could just grab a quick lunch and then be on my way. No such luck, though; the guy at the till would only let me do takeaway because they were closing up. So I got some food from the buffet and went to a park to eat it instead.

All the food I had was very good and tasted reasonably fresh (considering the buffet was emptying out and wasn’t being restocked anymore), except the spinach cannellone, which tasted like the spinach hadn’t been properly cleaned or cooked (or maybe Argentinian spinach just tastes different).

There were no markings to show what was vegan and what wasn’t, but quite a few of the things at least *looked* like they were vegan.

Not nearly as cheap as the previous reviews had me believe, though. The eat-in option was ARS 110 (about USD 7) for lunch, and the weighed takeaway option is ARS 100/kilo (about USD 2.86/lb). Still affordable, but closer to moderate than to inexpensive, I’d say.

Pros: Good food, affordable, all-you-can-eat

Cons: No veg*n markings, closed for eat-in too early

Very affordable

This is a very convenient tenedor libre, with plenty of seating. Food is tasty, and the service is friendly.
The buffet includes a limited salad bar, some desserts, and plenty of options for a set priced lunch. There is take-away available.

SUPER CHEAP delicious food.

If you're on budget and always hungry, this is THE place to go.

I'm talking 3 dollars for a lot of food.

There are many options available, some are 100% vegan and others have eggs or cheese. The chinese owner will explain to you if you ask.

We ate there for 5 nights in a row, because it's so cheap and the food is very tasty.

Most customers take their meals to go, but you can also stay there to eat.

I strongly recommend it.

Pros: SUPER CHEAP, like really, Open Late, Tasty Food

MSG and not madison square garden

So yeah....

This place is literally four blocks from my apt and I want to love it as it is cheap, convenient, and has lots of fresh food right on my way home from the subway......

Only, this seems to be MSG masquerading as food.

I did not even consider this when I was picked out my vegan foods for my to go tray. And since this is a tendor libre, or pre made food to go, or all you can eat in restaurant, there is no way of ordering any without chemical additives.

When will the world learn that veggies take effing great sans chemicals????? It is hardly what one would expect from a joint called green life. Chemicals /= green!!!!

I eagerly await that day!

Unless you like that "holy crap, my brain itches" feeling one gets from MSG, avoid at all costs.

Pros: food nicely presented and fresh, cheap

Cons: msg, msg, msg

Totally worth it

As said before, a nice all-you-can-eat buffet (80 pesos today, Aug. 30 2014), with asian and spanish style dishes.
A good deal of vegan options - I had some stewed seitan and sauteed tofu with veggies for instance. For vegetarians there is also a choice of quiches or cannelloni / lasagne and such.
Also desserts, especially not vegan flan-style things.

The general impression is a not very refined food, but tasty and satisfying.
The price is very correct for the offer.

Pros: large choice, many vegan options

Cons: Cafeteria-style dining room

Good food for good price

The restaurant is very near downtown - if you are near the subway B line, just take it to the direction "J.M. de Rosas", get out in the Callao station and walk two more blocks.

It's an all-you-can-eat (at dinner it's 73 pesos), with salads, hot dishes and desserts (try the vegan ice cream). The hot dishes are somewhat greasy and there's too much fried stuff. The salad variety is good though - you can actually eat everything a little from it and you'll be fine.
There is also a takeaway possibility, charged by kilo.

The ambience is very nice but be prepared to speak some Spanish, as the owner is Chinese and the waiters are Argentinian...

Pros: central location, good food, good value

Cons: too much fried/greasy stuff

Good food, good prices.

The food is good, the place not that much, the pricing is based on the food weight, and the prices are pretty good, some times i grab some food there, las week 1 kilogram was less than Us$8.

The staff know the ingredients, wichs is great because most of the time it's difficult to know which food is vegan or not.

I totally recomended if you want to grab some food and eat it at home, work, college...

Pros: Low price., The staff is informed., Tastes good.

Cons: Not much vegan food.

Like it!

A lot of vegan options and all of the workers are aware of the ingredients each food contains.
Verry good pumpkin and spinach balls.

Pros: Options, Location, Relaxing music
